Did some more searching.
"The Geely Galaxy E5 is priced at approximately $15,750 in China, with some sources indicating a range of $25,000–$30,000 USD for the global market. In Canada, the expected price is around CAD 42,000.

From January to June 2025, China added around 210 gigawatts of new solar capacity, pushing its total past 1 terawatt—the largest in the world. By comparison, the U.S. has built roughly 190 gigawatts of solar power since the 1970s. This record-breaking expansion marks one of the fastest growth periods in renewable energy history and cements China’s leadership in the global clean energy race.

Re: Future energy sources?
OK, Halifax is a major bunkering point for Transatlantic ships going to Canada (up the St Lawrence) and to the US. But, as it stands now Halifax won't have a large hydrogen capability for a while. On a world level, there are currently no mega tankers and freighters (over 100,000 tons) equipped to burn hydrogen fuel.. As of late 2024 to early 2025, there are approximately 50 to 60 hydrogen-powered vessels in operation or retrofitted worldwide, the vast majority of which are small, specialized vessels (passenger ferries, research vessels, and inland barges).
While hydrogen-powered ships currently represent less than 0.5% of the global vessel orderbook, the sector is growing, with about seven vessels launched annually between 2021 and 2024.
when we see the world's major ship builders in China, Korea and Japan constructing large ships that burn hydrogen and investing in hydrogen re-fueling stations world-wide, we'll know it is truly changing things.
