Holocaust Memorial Day

Chosen to coincide with the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp by Soviet forces on 27 January 1945. It is a day for global reflection on the dangers of hatred and the importance of preventing future atrocities.
