23 PASSENGERS LEFT TRAPPED ON A SHUTTLE BUS as their Air Asia flight from Don Mueang to Hat Yai, taxis for take off. Hard to believe. No one at Air Asia including cabins crew noticed there were 23 passengers who checked in but didn't get on the plane.
One woman complained to cabin crew her friend checked in but isn't on the plane. Cain crew said she must have missed her plane, and let it go, until the woman called her friend and said she and other passengers were stuck on a shuttle bus with door that wouldn't open. No one an Air Asia, even noticed!!! The plane eventually turned around and went back to pick up the 23 passengers.
Stuck on a Bus
Re: Stuck on a Bus
I've always seen attendants checking a printed passenger list. A few could be ignored as "missed the flight" but 23? Somebody is going to get a comeuppance from management. Not because they fouled up, but because it made the news...

That's why I try to avoid AirAsia, Nok Air, Thai Lion or other LCC's.

Re: Stuck on a Bus
So apparently they don't check the actual load against the manifest the way that they do on major airlines. I wonder if they offload checked bags of passengers who don't board. Real safety issues here.mak wrote: January 30, 2026, 1:23 pmNo one at Air Asia including cabins crew noticed there were 23 passengers who checked in but didn't get on the plane.
Re: Stuck on a Bus
I have never been on any plane without the cabin crew doing a final head count and usually at least 2 doing it
