If you have a yellow book or rental agreement document or even better a pink Thai ID card there's no reason to have a proof of address/residency letter. This is fact at Nong Han office.

Re: driving license renewal
Has anyone usedone of the license renewal compaies advertised on facebook. They claim to be able to renew your dl without you needing to visit a dmv office.I gave one { easy thai driving license support } and now they are telling me I have to send 7000b to get it but they will refund the money, sounds fishy????

Other than their own adverts all I’ve ever seen is gullible farangs complaining they’ve been ripped off.Fatone wrote: January 29, 2026, 6:34 pm Has anyone usedone of the license renewal compaies advertised on facebook.
My mate used Smart Drive out on the Ban Nong Sai road. He had a current UK license, no IDP & on a visa exempt entry. He was picked up at the hotel, driven to Non Sung getting a medical certificate on the way. He then had to do the same as us mere mortals in the DLT. Finally driven back to his hotel. I forget how much, maybe ฿6000 to ฿7000. Seemed a lot to me for a glorified taxi service.
& the main office in Nong Sung. Mind you, it may depend on who serves youAlexO wrote: January 29, 2026, 10:25 am If you have a yellow book or rental agreement document or even better a pink Thai ID card there's no reason to have a proof of address/residency letter. This is fact at Nong Han office.
