The patient's relatives left a public relations message.
🙏I would like to donate blood.🙏
Any blood type you want.🩸🩸
📌 Since my father detected 3 blood vessels in the heart, the doctor will treat it with surgery by bypass: The doctor will perform surgery to create a new blood vessel to allow blood to flow to the heart. The doctor performed a major surgery on my father, so he needed a lot of blood, so I asked for a favor to donate blood to my father. My father will have surgery on 3/12/25.
Donation Location: Blood Bank Room Udon Thani Center Hospital
Donate to Mr. Somsak Chanek
Thank you in advance for donating blood.🙏🏻❤️

What a disaster brings out in people.
Could the hospitals here in Thailand need the same participation due to the Border Conflict?

Also need to remember that the universal O- is incredibly rare in Asian countries.
Despite its rarity, O- is vital for transfusions to anyone, hence its high demand.
Any expats or tourists that get into a spot of bother will most likely need blood from a none Asian person.

Anyone that fits the criteria, just do it. The first visit takes about 45 minutes because of paperwork but follow on donations take about 20 minutes. You could save someone’s life.
Added bonus, the General Hospital gives you a nice strawberry drink & banana muffin when you’ve finished 👍

For those who arent aware of the history of THE RED CROSS here is a smidgen of information

The Red Cross, founded in 1863, has a rich history rooted in humanitarian efforts to alleviate human suffering during armed conflicts and disasters.
Founding and Early History
The origins of the Red Cross can be traced back to Henry Dunant, a Swiss businessman who witnessed the aftermath of the Battle of Solferino in 1859. Shocked by the suffering of wounded soldiers and the lack of medical care, Dunant advocated for the establishment of national relief organizations to assist the wounded, regardless of their side in the conflict. His experiences led him to publish the book "A Memory of Solferino" in 1862, which called for the formation of voluntary relief societies.

In 1863, the International Committee for the Relief of the Wounded was established in Geneva, Switzerland, with Dunant as one of its founding members. This committee aimed to provide humanitarian assistance to victims of war and laid the groundwork for the Red Cross movement. The first Geneva Convention was adopted in 1864, which mandated the humane treatment of wounded soldiers and established the red cross on a white background as the symbol for medical services.

Expansion and Global Impact
The Red Cross movement expanded rapidly, with national societies being established in various countries. The American Red Cross was founded by Clara Barton in 1881, focusing on disaster relief and support for military families. Over the years, the Red Cross has adapted to meet the changing needs of society, providing services such as blood donation, first aid training, and disaster response.

Today, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement comprises approximately 16 million volunteers and staff worldwide, dedicated to protecting human life and health, ensuring respect for all individuals, and alleviating suffering in times of crisis.

Principles and Values
The Red Cross operates under seven fundamental principles: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality. These principles guide its humanitarian efforts and ensure that aid is provided based on need, without discrimination.

The Red Cross continues to play a vital role in global humanitarian efforts, responding to disasters, armed conflicts, and health crises, while advocating for the protection of human rights and the development of international humanitarian law. Its legacy is a testament to the enduring commitment to alleviate human suffering and promote dignity for all.
