Yea, I went a bit on the upper range on my predictions.Kenr6583 wrote: December 23, 2025, 10:46 amI personally don't think it will reach those numbers no matter what happens. I do believe a lot of what happens will depend on how the Supreme Court rules on the tariff issue. I do agree that the numbers now and in the future coming out of the BLS are/will be somewhat questionable. But the real kicker will come when Powell leaves the Federal Reserve and the POTUS's head lackey gets in there and tries to get interest rates down to 1%, that's when the real fun will begin.Mosquito wrote: December 23, 2025, 8:21 am More than a million jobs lost this year and unemployment rate is currently sitting at 4.4-4.6%.
National Debt at 38 Trillion / Deficit 1.8 Trillion for 2025.
* Find it strange that I never really questioned previous govt reports on Debt and Deficit, and now I find myself doing so. The strange feeling comes from the Deficit being only 1.8Trilllion!!!
Odd of a 2026 Recession at 33%.
2026 will be interesting with the BBB tax scheme. My Predictions:
- National Debt will hit 44 Trillion by the end of 2026.
- 2026 Deficit will be over 4 Trillion.
- Unemployment Rate will be over 6%.
Adding this to my phone/computer calendar to remind me on Dec 23, 2026 to see how things panned out.
However, can you do a calendar note on your phone to back-up my prediction and we'll compare notes 12 months from now.
+1 on Powell departing.....totally agree.
