Yes quite a lot planned for tomorrow at Amphur. The Red cross are heavily involved this year in entertaining the kids with kareoke contest, dancing show and of course lots of tidbits to munch as well. Hoping to get a helicopter flying around plus the gyro copters. Can't seem to get a promise from the big guns, army , air force to send any equipment over to look at, but still hoping, one of the troubles of being so far out of town is the local kids are limited to what we can do, never mind they still seem to enjoy it. The police are helping out with letting them play on the squad cars sirens again, anything making a noise seems to go down well, so bring your ear plugs . I,ll be there with my camera, hope tp post some pics on here .Mosquito wrote: January 12, 2018, 7:09 pm Nong Or/Nong Wai normally has activities, but haven't seen anything advertised.

Good time was had all round, will post photos of the kids when I get chance to sort them, in the meantime thought you might have a chuckle at this one
It's all the staff of Amphur and the libary, including the boss, getting into the spirit of things by donning school uniform for the day, or maybe they just wanted a few of the kids biscuits.

All good fun at Wing 23 last Saturday. Got there at 7 am, parked near the entrance, wandered past the food stalls as they were setting up. Went in and took loads of pictures of the young lad with the static displays of aeroplanes and pilots as there was hardly anyone there. Back to the food stalls and loaded up for a tailgate breakfast in the car park. Back in by 8:30 for the F-16 fly-by, the K-9 display, the RTAF SWAT team taking out half a dozen insurgents. Then a pair of T-50 trainers doing simulated bombing runs on an anti-aircraft installation (while VietJet Air sat behind them, waiting to take off).
By 11:00, the concrete was heating up, getting very crowded, no places to sit and the show was basically over (repeat above itinerary in the afternoon), so we left, taking a good 20 minutes to exit from the south to the ring road.
Less of a show this year with fewer aircraft on static display and Singapore Air Force's A330-240MRTT making the biggest statement. Even the F-16 came in twice from some other airfield, and no helicopter assault show either. I guess they're busy on the eastern border.
