Anyone using DIME! to buy stocks from Thailand

Hi all,

I've been looking to open a trading account based in thailand for my wife, similar to Robinhood (which i use in US), Coinbase, etc.

Have come across a thai based platform called DIME! but have limited (i.e no!) knowledge of it

Has anyone used this or a similar thai based service to buy US, UK and thai stocks they could recommend?

I want something that my wife could have easy access to instead of just keeping her money in a thai bank getting next to no interest. Also i don't want to keep it in a US or UK based account.

Interesting. I'm a little suspicious of the:

"No bank branch visit necessary. No documents needed. No minimum required. Get approved in two minutes. Save now and invest for your future."

I mean my wife's BitKub account took a fair bit of time and lots of docs to get approved which one would expect if bank details are to be connected for funding/cashing out and potential tax.

Interested to hear more of your experience though if you move forward, do let us know how things go.

Hi Potamoi,

So far i've not done anymore than download the app.

Was going to register an account for myself as a test but the very first step is to enter your name in Thai, which was game over.

I use Robinhood in US and was no paperwork to be done at all. Linked to my chase account for deposit / withdraw. Can't remember if i needed to supply my SSN.

Anyway i will give it a go when i can stop my wife watching facebook reels long enough to get her attention

I wrote to them and asked and got this reply:

"We apologize for any inconvenience. Foreign nationals are not able to open a Dime! account as it requires Thai nationality and a Thai identification card."

Thanks Lassebasse, good to know.

This is ok for me as i want something in my wifes name as when i get hit by a bus or eaten by a Gator she does not have any issues using the fund / app.
