Re: Outbreak of Flu
Flu caught up with me last Saturday after a trip to Bangkok and Pattaya to catch up with some visitors. I think the last time I had it was a couple of years ago, and I sweated it out in about three days. This time it's deeper and lingering longer. My son got an antiviral flu shot last year that sorted him out in less than a day, but it seems that only works within the first 48-hours of symptoms, otherwise deal with it and stock up on Tylenol.

Re: Outbreak of Flu
had the ass kicking variety the latter part of September. Took me 2 weeks to get finished with it and another 2 weeks to recover.. Then got hit with a massive cold that had symptoms quite similar to Flu Type A but tested negative for COVID or Flu.. Watch out for the influx of tourists and visitors coming into high season. They'll surely bring their home country variety of Flu with them..

Re: Outbreak of Flu
H3N2 is the prominent strain this season and with no nationwide inoculation program in China, it should be expected that surges will occur. The major problem with inoculations programs this year is the subclade K was not included it this seasons inoculations, which has become a growing problem.

Quebec hospitals overwhelmed amid flu and virus surge
Quebec hospitals are facing severe strain as a surge in flu, COVID-19, and RSV cases overwhelms emergency rooms, with some hospitals exceeding 200% capacity. Health officials are urging residents to avoid unnecessary ER visits, instead advising them to use health hotlines and follow preventive measures like vaccination, handwashing, and mask-wearing. The crisis reflects broader national challenges, with low vaccination rates and an early flu season exacerbating hospital pressures across Canada.
