Re: inguinal hernia
I have had two hernia OP's, First one,at Military Hospital. All went well. Epidural injaction. (It turns you body below the chest to stone)! Good job!
Second one on otherside groin. This time had done at general hospital. ..Big mistake!
Staff not professional. Matron (Hatti Jakes came to mind ,A pig!
When time to leave, matron tells me go to pee first before go. But I have BPH. Peeing is an ordeal! She says pee in this! hands me a bottle.
I said cant do that! She said' You cant go then! I said OK I stay! LOL!
I went to get up.OMG! Pain shot through me! Sat back down! Tells me " You drama"
She said oh! "You know, we have patients in here open heart sugery, cut down the chest! You have small incision!
I knew there was something wrong.I never had problem before!
After few months, a Bulge appeared. I returned to Military hospital to have checked out.
Apparently, surgery failed. and had "Recurring hernia."
So had it repaired there.Great job. Perfect!
I found The General hospital horrible experience, But Military was far superior! Nurses were angels.
Place was spotless, and modern! I recommend it!

Re: inguinal hernia
Thanks MU. I have had the same experience with Udon Hospital. For years they were ok, but I found this year they have digressed. Why I don't know. They treat you like an inconvenience. I realize they are overwhelmed with patients.
Re: inguinal hernia
Nong Prajak hospital ok for routine checkups, blood tests and prescriptions, but recent experiences of Family and friends mean i would not want to be an inpatient there.

Re: inguinal hernia
The Military Hospital = Excellent in all categories. Had an right Inguinal Hernia repaired during a 90 minute operation under spinal tap (epidural), mid Jun 25, by their female surgeon (an Army Officer, name and charges on request via PM). Only 2 days in a private room, great post op recovery. Because of my age I had to undergo a FULL, 2 day, medical check up prior being given the go ahead.
Just to add:- Prior to my last consultation, in July, the surgeon was required to go to the Surin Army Hospital to attend land mine casualties --- as of today this might happen again.
