I would just point out, This was at their display in Tungsri Muang not at the actual site.Maybe I was just getting the official line and the people on site might be using their discretion , or more likely taking the easy way out TITjackspratt wrote:Last time at Ban Chiang (12 months ago) I was also charged 30baht after producing my Thai DL. =D>

Glad it is over for the YEAR, goodness knows it does nothing but increase the traffic congestion around town.

I enjoy the fair, it lifts the town for a couple of weeks which needs all the help it can get. Lets face it Udon Thani will never be on the tourist must see map. If they do have something, like Ban Chiang it's ruined by a "foreigner" skin tax.
Love the plant stalls and always buy a few orchids every year, and listen to the advice of the expert growers, much better than reading a book.

Udon Thani, best seen through your car's rear view mirror.

yes and some are still their selling their plants , I buy some every year too, but to venture inside is a nightmare even Thais complain, but many enjoy the hustle and bustle, my friend who has a business nearby is glad when its over though.
