So sad; good friend, Jerry Ruth, inducted into all 4 American Dragster Hall of Fames, passes away.
American Top AA Fuel & Funny cars; Jerry was a pioneer in racing during the late 1950s, and many times world champion. The only Top AA Fuel / Funny car world champion the same year.
Racing enthusiasts around the world knew of, Jerry Ruth!!!

Jerry was known for his outrageous wheelies off the line, giving his rear tires a little smokin' workout.
He was a true competitor. I ask him what it felt like taking off the line in a race.
He told me the 1st hundred feet is nothing but a blur...!!!
