My wife had a tower built to eliminate the water pumps. I was worried that the tower would not have enough pressure for the electric water heater. The shower and water heater surprisingly work OK. She paid for it so I kept my mouth shut.

Fresh water = 0.433 psi per foot in height so you are getting what about 11 psi there or 0.76 bar if its on a hill perhaps a bit more. Depending on the number or elbows and other friction in the piping it seems like may just be enough for the shower. Your real world experience verifies it so thats great. Aparently the PWA or village supply has enough pressure to fill the tanks so win/win.
