There's the original location on Pajaksinlakpom, not far from the north entrance to Central, but I hear there's a second location somewhere in town that tends to be less "wholesale" than the one mentioned.

The new PAN Foods store (and restaurant) located on Adunyadhet Rd is possibly worth a look, drove past a few days ago and looked more less finished and open for biz.

The search for the second location of Thai-French was driven by a couple of our regulars, including a well respected chef, agreeing that Thai-French has consistently been good whereas Pan Foods was otherwise.Drunk Monkey wrote: June 29, 2025, 8:58 pm The new PAN Foods store (and restaurant) located on Adunyadhet Rd is possibly worth a look, drove past a few days ago and looked more less finished and open for biz.
Unfortunately, the aforementioned pair of satisfied Thai-French customers were unable to say where this second location was and were talking in terms of "turn left, second right, through the traffic lights, and exit the roundabout and it's there." However, jackspratt's Google map pin drop is probably what I'm looking for. Now waiting for the aforementioned pair of satisfied Thai-French customers to confirm when was the last time they bought steaks there.

Not had TF for donkeys years since the first shop they opened in town on Wattanapong rd ..
As info
I buy mi steak from the west side Makro as a lump and cut it into desperate DM size units..usually the fresh Auz Harvey Sirloin 2+ kgs gets me 7pc with a fat cap , cooked medium rare its marvelous and very cost effective.

Re: Thai-French beef
Yes they have been there for years, prior that they were right around the corner from the statue roundabout 50 metres on the right. I was buying there back in 2002. 5 - 7 kg of full rump each time and butchering it myself. Price went crazy:- 250 kg to 430+.
BUT over the years better quality became available and like DM, I buy Macro or BigC.

Re: Thai-French beef
I buy only tenderloin from TF and it has been better than the NZ tenderlion from PanFoods IMHO. Last night my wife stoped in and bought it sliced instead of the usual log we keep in the freezer for impromptu parties or house guests. She grilled them on Doc's famous Quik-Fire BBQ and served 3 of the 6 she cooked. One of the ones I had was just not as nice as it usally is tasting slightly frezerburned. I mentioned it and she said she thought 4 of the 6 she bought looked a bit different and didnt cook quite the same.
Long story, short. A LINE message to the TF owner and 4 new steaks showed up with a rider to our house. Obviously, they knew things were not quite right with one of the of tube sources. The kids were running the shop that evening. Bottom line was this was the one and only 'imperfect' tenderloin we have tried from there and the lower quality was delt with in a profeshional manor unlike two or three PanFoods experiences I have had in the past two years.
We will continue buying the TF tenderloins. I can't vouch for other cuts though. I buy AUS or USDA strip loins at Go Wholesale or occasionally Makro but less often and generally prefer to cut the thickness myself.

Re: Thai-French beef
I find the tenderloin entirely too lean and flavorless. I much prefer nearly any other cut of steak as long as it is visibly marbled.

I used to stop at that place just to go in and smell the aromas of the lovely fresh meats
