Arguing the relevance of bank books? In the age of ATM, Wise, crypto and the like? Seriously?

Agree.
Same as writing cheques etc.
I cannot remember the last time I wrote or even held a cheque.

Off topic but some nostalgia:-
Back in 1983 and before the days of Microsoft we used varying forms of DOS.

In Aust. a crude VIATEL (via telephone) cranked up, our 1st form of internet. Along with that a system called "virtual windows" was developed and the US company (Foxboro) I was working for, at the time, adopted it in their process control systems.
(For @tam, I went there after leaving GSI)

Shortly after the CBA of Aust. did the same and launched "Telebank" - our 1st internet banking styled system. OK, we could only see transactions and download statements but I signed up as a foundation member and to this day my <1000 account number is still connected to my CBA internet banking.

1983 ----> 2025 = Bankbooks, where has Thailand been?

At Immigration today, asked IO when they were moving to new office. She told me they were planning to be operating in new place 1st July.
She said most staff okay with move as more space in office and better parking. We shall see.

Good update Alex, thanks.

I'm confident the new location will have far more pluses than minuses.

Does anyone know if the Immigration Office move is still on for 1 July? I am sure they will close the office for several days (weeks?) while they move. My 90 day report is due 11 June and just thinking whether I should count on office open or just do it via the web

That's over two weeks before their relocation. I seriously doubt they will close the old office early or for any considerable time. They're just too busy.

If doing it online has worked for you before, I would recommend using that option again.

The 90 day online are once again working. I did my last two that way. I use the web browser version not a phone app.

Online you can do it 15 days ahead and it says 7 days after but I wouldnt push that side if I were you. Some officers have a hair trigger on the 2000 file for past 7 days even if they didnt look at the application ontime.

Typically my experience a few years ago past and recently they take one ot two business days to process the TM47 request online. I'm guessing one of the interns is assigned the task of checking the email alerts on these then hands to an office when they are less busy for approval.

I find the online 90 day (TM47) a far better use of my time.

You need to register an email address if not done so already here by clicking 'Apply':
https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login

The next screen looks like this, left button to apply:
90DayAfterRegister.jpg
Fill in the form that looks like this:
90day_form.jpg
Dont check VISA (Business have capital...
Check 'Use Login Information'

NOTE:
There are two messages that come via email.
The first once looks like a 90 day format but it is simply aknowledging your submission so you are not done yet.
The second email will be the 90 day. If no second email check the status online if it says pending over say 4 days, you will likely need to go in to do it as they may have forgotten to check the inbox of someone dropped the ball.
I do print the PDF when it comes via email and keep a copy in my passport just in case.

Thanks for the update.
Just a week over the original planned date. Pretty good as far as Thai project programming goes. ;)
