More wasted school days...

Post by tamada »

It appears that due to someone who none of us knows personally having their birthday next Tuesday, schools will be closed until Wednesday.

So that's another long weekend with the rug rats, whose first term started only a couple of weeks back. I was counting on doing a bunch of electrical work at mi casa next week, which is a lot easier to manage when there's nobody home.

Moan over, back to the main menu.

TIT

They love a long weekend and these add on days for no apparent reason do seem a tad OTT .. school kids get way too much time out of class for days off and even full or half day in school "activities" most of which are more like jollies than learning experiences..

It would appear rather excessive to a foreigner who is accustomed (in their home country) to 15 days holiday at a minimum. In Thailand the minimum is supposed to be 6 days. But many places that employ just a few workers ignore this. So, the only time of for their workers are public holidays.

But I do tend to support the workers.
