Udon Thani Immigration will be moving to their new office in Nong Sam Rong sometime next month. The office is located just up the road from the Nong Sam Rong Tesaban government office.

Google Wat Ban Na Sai . The new immigration office is about 200 meters to the east. Here's a link https://maps.app.goo.gl/o1H7pLhdhcs7aN3PA

The building is complete now with plenty of parking. There's a small restaurant just across te street and a coffee shop nearby as well.

Rumours are strong noosard that a new UT monkey house is actually on the final draft drawing board.
Moving essential things out of the city maybe.

I guess it would be a bit too much to expect a branch of KBank to open next door? That's about the only inconvenience I can see.

Maybe find out where the nearest Kbank branch is before your next extension rodeo, drop by and see if they can deliver all the requirements a foreigner needs, (do it at least twice as Thai rules of different employees having a different idea will apply), and hopefully it will be quick(er) and (even more) painless experience.

Or maybe not..

And we can live in hope the Immigration office treats the ANTIQUATED bank book with the contempt it deserves as well as allowing statements downloaded from our online services. KBank will provide a download of 12 months worth minus the current day.

You have probably missed the thread where this exact point was discussed.

Immigration requires that all copies are certified by the highest authority available (often the submitter)

1) Immigration requires statements to be certified by the bank
2) Banks will only certify statements that they have produced
3) Copies of bank books are certified by the submitter of the extension request

In my posts all fees and requirements are the standard R&R but TIT and a brown envelope can make incredible changes YMMV.

You missed the point! Why is this 20th century country STILL in the 20th century. Bankbooks = 19th century.

AND WHY DO you members still need to copy the post above the comment you're responding too FFS???

just because something is old doesn’t make it redundant. Just because something is new doesn’t make it better
