Your previous offerings were very good even if they did contain onions.

Right now, I have only three Scottish footie pies from Davidson's of Inverurie left in the freezer so the timing is rather good.AlexO wrote: May 4, 2025, 11:04 am Going to be a regular thing Dean, hopefully.

Its going to be 'sad day at mill' if the Thai Customs ever enforce the illegal import of foodstuffs etc. laws in passenger luggage.tamada wrote: May 4, 2025, 12:04 pmRight now, I have only three Scottish footie pies from Davidson's of Inverurie left in the freezer so the timing is rather good.AlexO wrote: May 4, 2025, 11:04 am Going to be a regular thing Dean, hopefully.

Still got stacks of rowies though. Cathay Pacific baggage allowance is generous at 2 x 23 kg for back-of-the-bus frequent flyers.
You mean enforce like so many first world countries don't?AlexO wrote: May 4, 2025, 12:39 pmIts going to be 'sad day at mill' if the Thai Customs ever enforce the illegal import of foodstuffs etc. laws in passenger luggage.tamada wrote: May 4, 2025, 12:04 pmRight now, I have only three Scottish footie pies from Davidson's of Inverurie left in the freezer so the timing is rather good.AlexO wrote: May 4, 2025, 11:04 am Going to be a regular thing Dean, hopefully.

Yes, but Aussie and Kiwi biodiversity is unique and needs the rigid protections. Thailand, far, far less so. Maybe diseases related to pork are a real concern but I bring beef sausages, lamb's meat pies, oatcakes, tea and haggis.AlexO wrote: May 4, 2025, 3:27 pmTamtamada wrote: May 4, 2025, 2:33 pmYou mean enforce like so many first world countries don't?AlexO wrote: May 4, 2025, 12:39 pmIts going to be 'sad day at mill' if the Thai Customs ever enforce the illegal import of foodstuffs etc. laws in passenger luggage.tamada wrote: May 4, 2025, 12:04 pmRight now, I have only three Scottish footie pies from Davidson's of Inverurie left in the freezer so the timing is rather good.AlexO wrote: May 4, 2025, 11:04 am Going to be a regular thing Dean, hopefully.

Thailand has large lists of banned items not allowed to be brought in by incoming passengers, much the same as Australia. Compared to how the Aussies deal with the problem the Thai's are sleeping (never said it was a bad thing. I had a case just full of UK food items the last time I came through customs.)![]()

Could almost guarantee a fair few heart attacks, there's a reason why they're not popular throughout Scotland. A nation not renowned for its health eating habits. Have never seen the attraction in mixing lard and flour to make a dense, artery clogging bit of bread.![]()

The strange tribes that inhabit North East Scotland used to have a fair number of fishing vessels a few decades ago, not so many now. But jings, crivens and help ma boab I promise not to lose a wink of sleep over a local delicacy enjoyed by a few.tamada wrote: May 6, 2025, 1:01 pmMaist fowk that's niver seen a fishing boat don't, so dinnae fash yersel ower much.AlexO wrote: May 5, 2025, 9:34 am As you say, nothing wrong with flaunting the weakly enforced rules. I will be coming over for a blether (not argue), about your Scotch pies.papafarang wrote: May 4, 2025, 10:54 amYep that's where we're at now. But our pies are available at Cheese to meat you.
Talking of which I'm going to upset the Scots. Tuesday I'm dropping off scotch pies (lamb) to cheese to meat you, and I will be adding some onion in them.
I'll let you Scots argue that one out.

Sadly we bake very little bread as not much call for it out here. Made dark rye bread today, no customers for it. But sold plenty of pies.tamada wrote: May 11, 2025, 5:17 pm Nice.
Do you still do Hoagie rolls? Jonesing for a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich.
I left a few at C2MU last week.
Ay i spotted the wee jock pies this afternoon in C2MU Tam .. i intend to consume said delicacy with mash spud, peas and a splosh of gravy ...and of course whilst going all out commando wearing my ancestral Willy n Ena Baxter clan claret n blu kolt, sporran and SUFC footy socks.
Stay wi a wee splosh of gravy DM but bin the mash and pea's. Chips and baked beans make it worthy of the title Food of the Gods.Drunk Monkey wrote: May 12, 2025, 5:21 pmAy i spotted the wee jock pies this afternoon in C2MU Tam .. i intend to consume said delicacy with mash spud, peas and a splosh of gravy ...and of course whilst going all out commando wearing my ancestral Willy n Ena Baxter clan claret n blu kolt, sporran and SUFC footy socks.
Upon your expert Jockonese advice i will swap the peas for beans at the risk of extreme storm force winds coming from the South Alex ..many thanks , BTW pie mash n peas are the way to go on the tropical shores of Scunthorpe.AlexO wrote: May 12, 2025, 6:36 pmStay wi a wee splosh of gravy DM but bin the mash and pea's.
