US Social Security
US Social Security
I would like to know if any American citizens are missing their Social Security payment this month? I've already sent an email to US Social Security in the PI about the problem but I now know of at least 2 people who did not receive their monthly payment.

Re: US Social Security
I haven’t heard of widespread issues with Social Security payments this month, but it’s not uncommon for there to be delays sometimes.

Re: US Social Security
I read about the new in person visit to SS Office. I thought about it, may be a problem but as expats, are we not showing up in person with our ID (passport) each time we go to bank to collect our direct deposit social security funds which perhaps, is why they did not mention expats in the article, only people living in the US. And if this were the case, I would not have received my SS funds deposited in the bank on May 02 like some other expats have mentioned..

Re: US Social Security
The changes that were implemented had nothing, in most cases, to do with current persons on social security receiving their funds. It was, supposedly, to cut fraudulent payments to unauthorized individuals who were not eligible. This included not allowing changes, to what bank account funds were sent, online or over phone. If you were receiving funds already and did not need to change, then funds should continue to arrive based on payment schedule. With that said there could be, in my opinion, a day or two delays to foreign banks. Re: US Social Security
I get a direct deposit into my US bank account the third of every month and a day or two earlier if the third falls on a weekend. It has never been late. It has been as regular as clockwork for many years. Nothing has changed in my details.

Got mine at 1349 hours today thru BBL.
