Started getting the SQL error intermittently and a few can't connects. After a few retries get conntion

Just heard back from our tech guy. Apparently Udon Map has been the subject of a sustained DDoS attack for the past few days. The spammers have been identified and blocked. Just now, I was able to get on much more quickly, and no SQL errors. Thank you for your patience and for letting me know when you have problems with the UM site.

I must be missing something, but what is the motive for spammers to attack a site such as Udon Map? Just get a kick out of being a pain in the arse?

The Attachments feature isn't working.
No matter which image is added, I get an HTTP error.

Looks like we have a new problem since the works over the weekend:-
Persistently received this error message when trying to respond to a new thread (Bangkok Bank Code Change), finished up double posting! The site appears to be VERY slow to migrate between pages and to upload the screen shot?
EDIT:- Had the same problem posting this from my PC?

Just have another problem which I think may be related to the weekend's upgrade.
Although I can view most pages as a guest I cannot login to Udon Map on my Android Phone (Samsung G23). Done all the usual house keeping but still no go. "The submitted form was invalid." My password is OK as it works here on my PC.
I have screen shots but cannot display them -- as above
