Off grid availability for commercial use

Post by trekkertony » March 13, 2025, 9:46 am

Hi,
Is there any forum contributor who has installed a totally off grid power source. If so, the size installed to manage use of stored power to ensure supply as compared to previous use from the grid.
Any recommendation for off grid suppliers much appreciated.
Thanks,
TT

I have a on Grid system it is 6 months old and works great. I easily produce 35KWH a day and sometimes 40+ KWH. I use the grid on to keep batteries topped up during rain or cloudy days which hasn't been much. I suspect grid uses will go up a little during rainy season but haven't gone thru that yet. I know your using for off grid business maybe not using at night much and battery usage might not be much is anything at night. Your cost might be lower not needing a Hybrid inverter also. If sun is good Batteries 100% by 1100. If sun not so good maybe 1400 latest. My Solar panels are on ground not roof installed.

1. One Deye Hybrid Inverter 20kW. 3Phase
2. Two LVTOPSUN LIFEPO4 300AH 15.36KWH Batteries each.
3. Thirty Longi Tier1 Solar Panels 620W Use on Land not installed on roof.

I built Storage house for battery, Inverter, Electrical Panels and 12000 BTU A/C to keep batteries and inverter below 35C in the day only, hopefully to get higher than 7 years possible life to maybe 10 years. The batteries are 61000bt each not cheap.
