Started getting the SQL error intermittently and a few can't connects. After a few retries get conntion

Just heard back from our tech guy. Apparently Udon Map has been the subject of a sustained DDoS attack for the past few days. The spammers have been identified and blocked. Just now, I was able to get on much more quickly, and no SQL errors. Thank you for your patience and for letting me know when you have problems with the UM site.

I must be missing something, but what is the motive for spammers to attack a site such as Udon Map? Just get a kick out of being a pain in the arse?

The Attachments feature isn't working.

No matter which image is added, I get an HTTP error.
