Really dont have a fascination with what you post Tam, your basic miscomprehension that your opinions really matter to anyone is the reason I respond. Apart from some excellent posts on the War in the middle east your self opinionated tripe can be a wee bit boring. Expert on all I survey. Same as the Pratt.

Your posting history indicates otherwise. But you're correct inasmuch as you're not fascinated. You're obsessed.

Alex, your contribution to this forum consists almost entirely of obdurate, often abusive, usually fact-free, negative responses to other people's opinions or posts.

Nary an original thought in sight from you - let alone something as imaginative as starting a new thread with your own ideas, opinions or observations on a topical issue.

And your point is, apart from being abusive. Nuclear power, anti Hamas terrorism, anything thats so left wing its sickening.
Come on the Pratt surely you can do better.

Just show us where your original thoughts are rather just copy and pastes from Left wing sources or even worse Murdering Terrorist's propaganda.

DM will be gutted that Priti Patel got the least votes from seated Conservative MP's in the first round of Choose a Chump and, falling at the first fence, is no longer in the running. It appears Jenrick leads the five-pack headed for the next vote.

Readers should note that absolutely no copy/paste from the Guardian was done for this post.

Makes a pleasant change.
I would have thought Priti would be quite popular with the membership, but the MP's have ganged up and ejected a quite good senior figure in the party.

The seated MP's voted on this, not the party membership. She doesn't appear to be as popular with her peers as some would think. Her office was the subject of official complaints about bullying and creating a toxic work environment at the FO and the DWP before that. I recall these were investigated by the Cabinet Office.

Tell your audience if she was found guilty of bullying (actually demanding that the work-shy Civil Servants actually do what they are paid to do) What a bad lady she is.

The beleaguered remaining Tory MP's have maybe realized that the old guard, especially the more recalcitrant and intractable dinosaurs with strong links to the serial dumbshittery of the previous dozen years, isn't what the electorate needs or wants.

BTW, she was investigated by the Cabinet Office who (of course) didn't find anything bad. Now, explain to your audience the concept of the fox watching the chickens.

I thought she had been found guilty, although later exonerated by Boris the Chief Buffoon.

WARNING - linked to a story in the Guardian.
The FDA union challenged a decision by Boris Johnson last year that Priti Patel did not breach the ministerial code by bullying her staff.

This followed an investigation by the independent adviser on the code, Alex Allan, which concluded that she had bullied civil servants, including incidents of shouting and swearing at them.

Allan concluded: “Her approach on occasions has amounted to behaviour that can be described as bullying in terms of the impact felt by individuals. To that extent her behaviour has been in breach of the ministerial code, even if unintentionally.”

Despite this evidence, the prime minister sought to give weight to the home secretary’s assertion that any behaviour was unintentional and he therefore concluded that she had not breached the code.

Allan left his role in Downing Street after Johnson contradicted his advice......

..... Patel was accused of bullying staff across several government departments including the Home Office.

Oh wow. The chief fox saving the fat chick(en).

Anyway, that's history. Who's going to get the elbow when they vote again next week? Some say "soldier boy" Tugendhat and "who?" Stride are unlikely to proceed.

Which means that apart from your usual use of abusive adjectives about duly elected MP's that there might be a bit of sense rather than just total Marxist tripe in your post.
But there again maybe not.

Where have I used any "abusive adjective" about your scant few, duly elected MP's making a fist of their self-wrought demise? I simply said they're beleaguered. That's neither abusive nor pejorative.

beleaguered
adjective
1.
in a very difficult situation.
"the board is supporting the beleaguered director amid calls for his resignation"
2.
(of a place) surrounded by armed forces aiming to capture it or force surrender; besieged.
"he led a relief force to the aid of the beleaguered city"

Pretty much sums up the situation of ANY minority party, but especially the one that squandered any good will they had with the electorate over the past dozen or so years. Even the "Marxist" party was beleaguered for a while, especially after your beloved Steptoe misstepped.

Anyhoo, it's good to note that it's all beginning to make sense to you.

Even if they are not all adjectives they are still amounting to being abusive without any real knowledge of what you are talking about.
Corbyn (Steptoe) did not misstep he 'always has been' a dyed in the wool Marxist loony, aptly aided by today's leaders of the Liebour party, Srarlin (the man for change), Angela the halfwit nightclub bopper and the cream of the crop, Steptoes go to Marxist bully boy, Lammers. Ideal candidate for the ultra diplomatic position of Foreign Secretary. No better choices available in the new Liebour Party here to serve the people cough, cough.
No help from the biased GB News or any other non Marxist source used in this reply to the usual political garbage from the poster.

This absolutely pointless "but Labour" diatribe brought to you (again) by the only member who claims to know more than anyone living about UK politics. You're kidding yourself but if it floats your boat, crack on.
