Re: Easy pop shots at OZ labor Govt.
So we agree that the WA government of the time was smart enough to lock in long term gas supply certainty from Australian gas, while Eastern States governments still haven't.
Nothing to do with Sport's assertion that it is all the Albanese government's fault that states on the east coast of Australia may have to import gas to fill short term shortages.
There was no luck involved, and the fluff about interstate construction teams is just a red herring.

No, we do not agree, the east coast states did not have export capabilities, and still don't so there is no need for them to have any mandate or requirement to keep 15% for local consumption, the east uses 100% for local consumption. You have to look further outside your sandgroper state to understand how gas is extracted and who uses it over east. I will admit the Qlders have their LNG exports now along with the NT LNG.

The east does not import as yet, the LNG regassification plant is not commissioned, don't for one minute think that the states have full control of their gas, the federal govt has that overall honour and who gets it, Albo is the current leader i think and is taking a back seat as usual to let the states fight it out. Perhaos if Albo and his commo mates would open up and allow new gas exploration in the east instead of his green policy agenda, OR, put nuclear on the table.
He most likely won't be around next year and will fall on his sword when the people vote, so we will see after the election.

Its not fluff about the WA inferiority complex about eastern staters taking their jobs over many decades, my stop go work has seen and heard it all, crying and moaning about lower wages then the east and bad conditions. Cry me a river was the answer to them. We easterners just came over supplied the skills you did not have, took the money and went home. You were left with the 10 pound pom unionists and KIWI's who never go home.

More evidence from unbiased commentators that albo is on the nose with punters especially with his inept treasurer leading the country down the socialist path.

Sky News After Dark + Andrew Bolt - "unbiased" lol.
No one serious, or informed, takes any notice of either of them.

Yet you castigate Alex for his undying contempt for the media bias that you prefer.jackspratt wrote: ↑September 5, 2024, 8:11 pmSky News After Dark + Andrew Bolt - "unbiased" lol.

Bill shorten resigns. The guy was as useful as a fish needing bicycles clips to pedal into the distance.

I love the smell of castigation in the morning. It smells like ... deflection.jackspratt wrote: ↑September 6, 2024, 7:35 amIf you look a bit closer, I think you will find it is more the case that he is "castigating" me, because of whichever media source I may choose.

Interesting vid, there are undeniably big problems with the Oz economy, but it would be simplistic to claim that only the governement is responsible. I am no economist but looking at comments from independent analysts, the situation is not as bleak as the coalition and the labor bashing News Limited outlets perport.Barney wrote: ↑September 7, 2024, 2:24 pmFurther down the gurgler for Albo

one example https://theconversation.com/the-good-ne ... why-233141
There was more than a dash of hyperbole within this broadcast. Hinting that the Regis mining site in Western NSW would right all the economic woes was quite silly. The total value of gold extracted would be $5B worth of gold in a low yield ore deposit, jobs would be created yes but a lot of the profit would go to investors over the projection life of 11 years, that ain't gunna save the Australian economy. the fact that Regis purchased the site for only $150M shows a more realistic value of this mine site.
Its a long time before the next election.
