That cold weather training camp on Tyneside did the trick ........ along with Prince Mohammed Bin Howe in the dugout

They didnt even wear their Newcastle 3rd strip, although they did have a guy that scored worldies like Miggy Almiron

Good performance by the mighty England although the signal went on the plane at HT and it didnt come back til it was 4-1 so, missed 20 mins or so.

As said above, what was doubly pleasing was we scored good footballing goals with non of this set piece nonsense we relied on 4 years ago.

Mbappe and Neymar would give me kittens against this defence but, we can get lucky and beat anyone on our day. The Yanks worry me a bit but (discounting the Welsh😀), finishing 2nd wouldnt be a problem as Holland look pretty average in the next round and less of a threat than the physical Senegalese.

Interestingly Argies can now finish 2nd in group (without people accusing them of throwing the final game) and avoid Brazil until the final

Right, I'll be rooting (routing?) for the Socceroos tonight but don't tell Jack or he'll think I'm going soft.

Perhaps if they erected a second set of posts on the edge of the pen area and gave points for missing the goal the socceroos would do a bit better :-k

For someone claiming to be totally uninterested in football, that's quite interesting.

So the German FA are taking FIFA to court of Arb for not letting them wear "LadyBoys, Girlies & Trannie supporting armbands at the World cup. Surely they are aware that there is a law banning the use of martchday kit to promote political or religious beliefs ........ FIFA are 100% right to ban them. If they wanted to make a stand they have had TWELVE YEARS to withdraw the German Team from the competition.
As for the authorities confiscating the Welsh "Rainbow Hats" ......... good. The Welsh team colours are Red/Green NOT all the colours of the rainbow.

Certainly not a fan of individuals/groups waiting 12 years with very little proper push back, and then spoiling the occasion for the 800 odd players and even more back room staff for whom it should probably be the highlight of their careers by de liberately making trouble

BTW there have now been 607 mass shootings in USA this year, are the relevent authorities gonna tell them to get that sorted out before the next world cup?

What on earth are you talking about you troglodyte?

So far we have had a fantastic opening ceremony in a fantastic stadium, England have made a good start and Saudi have provided an early upset. =D>

The fans have gotten great weather and plenty of hotel bars are packed with those who like to partake in alcohol.

Furthermore, they should be playing in stadiums in the desert among the sand dunes not in these air-conditioned artificial environments.
