Re: "Lao Sandwich"
Great news, morti.
Are you keeping the actual location a secret, so you can eat them all yourself?
The ones I have eaten in Vientiane seemed to be very similar to the Vietnamese Banh Mi.
Is the local version (UT) the same or similar, with the bread being very important?

The ones in Luang Prabang are almost the same as the Vietnamese subs. Toronto has the Vietnamese version of a submarine sandwich.jackspratt wrote: ↑November 19, 2022, 8:03 pmGreat news, morti.

i can also make any filling myself (cook in previous life ) ,with a non sweet sauce to my preference, those mayo based full sugar sauces are awful ...small examples ...
accompanied by fresh potato salad with homemade mayo ... or chicken curry salad , can be filled more , but i am not a salad eater ... or lunch , with potato salad and serrano ham or some cheese /mustard bread or simply a hotdog ... or the most simple application , garlic bread with homemade garlic butter and many others ..., enjoy your food ...in our case , no place like home ...
