Yeah, you deserve to be warm.
Dont think what month it is has anything to do with it. I remember a speedway match I was at, being "snowed off" in June and that was in London not Scotland.
Must of been down to Climate Change.

Not watching the funeral but did watch the football from Everton last night and saw a group of fans holding the Union flag upside down ..... not sure if it was
a) Everton fans knowingly flying the "distress" signal
b) Some people clearly committing lese majeste which is still an arrestable crime (not a good idea on worldwide TV broadcast)
c) a group of idiots that dont know which way the Union flag is

There are about 10 different channels (maybe more or fewer) broadcasting either live or a little delayed

I note the BBC is transmitting it live on YT.

Or a tad delayed, anyway.

The royal family channel has the most complete coverage, though no commentary (it’s the link above)

Has it finished yet?
Can we now get back to some type of reality?
Will I now be able to visit you tube without having 15 of the first 20 "suggestions" being about a 96 year old woman who shock horror died of natural causes?
Will I be able to look at a website without seeing how distressed this company or that is to hear about the queens demise? Really?, I'm pretty sure most couldn't give a damn so long as it doesn't have any impact on "the bottom line" bloody posturing the lot of em.
Can we now get back to all sports without having to listen to some w*nker singing the National Anthem?

No.

It’s going to be another hour and ¾ before you can watch blokes being paid obscenely large amounts of money to play pointless antics with spherical and elliptical bits of dead animal, plant and fossilised plant juice.

Of course, go and have a lie down in KP's bunk and we'll give you a nudge later...maybe.

Why don't you bugger off to your EPL thread and have a threesome with Desiree snd 747? No need to be ejaculating scorn over here is there?

Good Lawd - they are still showing it here as live, with the coffin approaching Westminster even though it is 6pm in London.

All very mawkish.

Mawkish, there's a word you don't hear on UM very often. I had a think about your post while I ate my tea time Udon noodles. It reminded me of something I'd read years ago where someone had described the Victorian culture of bereavement and mourning and how that sentimentality had been triggered by Albert's death and Victoria's grief. What you saw today might be an echo of that.
