In an entertaiing game Scunny n Orient drew 1-1 .. good news is Carlisle n Oldham our closet relly rivals both lost.

Up the Iron ..we didnt loose n it feels ok

DM
Slight re think .. after warching the match highlights it should ov been 5 or 6 for Orient but luckily they didnt have their shhoting boots on .. a point was very fortunate fir the Iron but we will take it.

Next up fir Scunny Bradford city who have 6 firmer Iron players currently in their squad so should be interesting..also a decent crowd n atmos as they will sell.out the away end at 25 quid a ticket  yep circa 1000 bt whilst Scunny fans pay 13 quid / 600 bt. It seems most clubs are on the away fan dual.pricing scam nowadays ..scams not only in Udon or jet ski operators as vlad thinks

After a quick bit of research it seems theres a huge difference in footy match tickets across the EF leagues with prices vary from appro 10 quid to 60 quid with some CL games 80 to 100 quid .. blooming heck i was shocked as i first paid 2 quid at The Old Shiw Ground and then 6 quid at the new Glanford park .. a bargain n great value back then.

Dm

Excellent value .. great day out and entertaining footy .. remind me again how much it is to get in to watch Everton loose or draw 0-0 again Alan ??  ..

Hope you caught my post on the EPL thread and a realist Toffee seeing the light not living in your rose tinted excuse laden land.

RAFA OUT is real .. its coming and i shall be here to remind you.

Back to real grass roots .. Scunny v Bradford this Saturday and away end is 80% sold out already with pay on the day it will be agreat atmos letc hope for a decent game and an Iron win of course.

I seem to remember paying £27.00 to watch the Royals at Madejski before Covid-19. I think it was the Bristol City game, I was amazed at their fat lad midfielder waddling up and down the pitch.

Coventry City...what have you got against them? True, they have prettier uniforms than the Evertons. I liked it way back when Coventry, Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich Town were in the big show. I think it was around 1992, but I went to see Arsenal beat Ipswich Town (they had a Canadian goaltender), Man U. play Liverpool at Wembley, Sheffield Wednesday at the home of Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Ipswich Town); and Coventry City visit Crystal Palace. In those days, Palace had two fairly good players one of whom was Dixon. I can't remember the name of the other player. Crystal Palace was a fun Bloody Football!!!!! team to watch.

Loads of games being postponed in Blighty due to the bad weather ... Scunny v Bradford could be added to them as the usual tropical balmy weather has deserted the town momentarily.

It will be -10 with perhaps 10 cm of snow when Hamilton is home to the Montreal Alouettes on Sunday. It will be even colder when Saskatchewan hosts Calgary in Regina. That, my friend, is real Bloody Football!!!!!, Canadian style

I agree. That's Bloody FOOTBALL !!!!!. It's a game played by brave folks in Canada. Scunthorpe and English football doesn't measure up compared to that.

Indeed Errnie .. both Scunny and Coventry ended in draws...Scunnys 1-1 was a fair outcome with the Iron taking the first half n Bradford the second (both weather assisted)

Cracking game and atmos at Glanford park in terrible weather conditions ... both sides going for it and Scunny actually having loads more chances hitting the woodwork a few times .. some thing has changed since Hill came in but draws arent really enough at the mo need to pick up some wins along the way.. lot better defence and look fitter .... still bottom but not adrift by any means.
