I've been waiting patiently for the expected deluge of lively posts from the Map's leading football analyst. Hopefully they'll get the OK shortly. They can't be far away.

Another lucky goal by Townsend then?
Being honest, I couldnt be arsed to stay up till 4 am to watch Everton v Burnley.
Are you trying to tell me "Mr One trick pony" A N Dross found a different way to score other than cutting in from the right and hitting and hoping from 25/30 yds with his left?
I will have to search out the highlight reels for that then :-k
Having now seen the highlights .... I have one question

Do defenders ever do any preperation for games. and if so why the hell did the Burnley players let AN dross Townsend cut in from the right and hit a shot with his left from 25+ yds? ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) #-o

Well done Statto for noticing that Townsend favours his left foot, whilst most footballers are the opposite. I think I know the answer if you were to ask young footballers if they wished they has Townsend's left foot, scored some of the goals he has, played for his country at many levels, enjoyed the career he has etc.

Everton win of course. If statts is predicting an Everton win, I'd guess the same score as statts. We might need to wait a few days before Alan's post appears. There's a lot of suspense in this thread at present.

Emerton could be the EPL surprise package this season ???

AND FINISH as high as 6th .. in reality thats as high as they can achieve ..top five already sorted with in no particular order Chelsea , Manu U , Man City , Scunthorpe , Liverpool.

I would of thought Wet Nelly would be your favourite Alan ???

A bit off with last weeks predictions but at least I did better than most of the "Paid Pundits"

Got the Palace v Spuds score right (but wrong way round)
Had Chelski for easy win to NIL
Had Arsenal to win by ONE goal
Had Brentford v Brighton as 0 - 0 and it was at 90+ mins with Bton scoring in injury time
Had Man U to beat the toon by 3 clear goals
Had Southampton v West Ham to draw
Had Watford to lose 0 - 2 to Wolves
Had Everton to beat Burnley 3 - 1

And this weeks stick yer neck out predictions are:-

Newcastle 2 - 4 Leeds
Wolves 2 - 0 Brentford
Burnley 1 - 1 Arsenal
Liverpool 2 - 0 Palace
Man C 4 - 0 Southampton
Norwich 1 - 1 Watford
Villa 1 - 1 Everton
Brighton 0 - 2 Leicester
West Ham 1 - 2 Man Utd
Spuds 1 - 3 Chelski

I Can't see the MIGHTY Whites scoring 4 Away from Home.....& I Also think West Ham will beat Man U....Also I'll take a point at Villa for us at the moment at least we WON'T Concede 7......555 !!
