What is "politically correct"? Is it a POTUS that doesn't act like a 10 year old with his childish name calling and bullying?

Perhaps it was the borderline illiteracy of the song which appealed so much to tt.

When I was in my late teens and early 20s, I am pretty sure I can remember my grandparents saying similar things about my generation - as did theirs' about them no doubt. :-s
