Water outage, possibly localized.

Post by tamada » November 26, 2020, 11:33 am

Mrs tam mentioned that city water supply has been interrupted for "one or two days" due to some breakage somewhere. Certainly is the case at our place, east ring-road near the Nong Sai / Nong Bua traffic lights.

Just checked our storage and we have about 80% of our standing 4000 liter storage so should be OK. However, jury rigging a down-hole pump from the small well on our plot so Yai can keep watering her allotment.

As a heads-up.

Handy link there parrot, thanks. Mrs tam does FB so maybe that's where she got the info but I will bookmark it so I can keep tabs on that.

Spent a few hours on the makeshift water pump on the well and got Yai's big water bucket replenished so she's out with her watering cans now making up for lost time.

The link doesn't help alleviate the pain of a water outage, but at least it gives some indication of where the problem is and how long it 'might' last. A 630mm water pipe is a big pipe!!

No water in Udon city until midnight. The infrastructure is crumbling. At least the air is clean, last year it was pretty bad.
