Forget good/bad, right/wrong. This was a terrible move for Trump from a purely strategic/tactical perspective. Polls consistently show Fauci's credibility rating nearly double that of Trump.

He doesn't want to win. He just said Biden would be bad for TV ratings and that's a reason to not vote of him?

And just a couple of days ago Trump promoted the crazy COVID-19 views of a former TV game show host turned sycophant (Chuck Wollery) who claims everyone is full of ---- about the virus. Trump re-Tweets his garbage because Trump has lots of time on his hands because he doesn't actually work. Anyway, Chuck today deleted his Twitter account now that his son has contracted COVID. You can't make this stuff up!

It seems to me a day never goes by without Trump saying or Tweeting something ridiculous.

Mark my words....

He will pardon himself on his last day in January and begin campaigning for his son in 2024.

Nobody will ever top Trump as the most clownish POTUS in all of American history.

Your daily "shoot the messenger" post.

Queue Trump stating that he's always been wearing a mask in private since the China virus first appeared.

Trump was looking a bit thick in his interview with Axios’s Jonathan Swan:

It seems he wasn't even prepared for the interview. Lazy.

Here's the bit that should make even the most ardent of the 'forever Trump' clan cringe.

What a moron. He's such a dork.

Even an 85 year old Biden would be sharper than that. So too KP's Thai neighbours.

His acolytes eg Rudi Giuliani keep on telling us how very, very intelligent Trump is.

If further confirmation was needed, this interview demonstrates once again how really, really dumb he is.

The penny seems to have dropped for his supporters here - starting way back on 23 December when LS went on sabbatical, and working its way progressively down the chain since then.

The world can only "hope and pray" (sic) that this is reflected in the US vote come November 3. [-o<

That video shows yet another reason Trump shouldn't be standing for re-election. Moscow Mitch also seems to be sabotaging Trump as tens of millions of Americans are losing their enhanced unemployment benefits and risk losing their homes.
The Senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell, is engaged in a political charade in which he proclaims himself a hapless bystander, buffeted by the whims of the White House on one side and House Democrats on the other. He is not even attending key meetings between Democratic leaders and the administration’s top negotiators.

But Mr. McConnell is far from without leverage. He must make clear to his members that they need to compromise and help the millions of their fellow Americans who are stuck in miles-long food lines, a hair’s breadth from eviction, jobless, financially ruined or ill because of this terrible disease. One quick and direct way to send a message: Cancel the Senate’s August recess, or at least postpone it until a deal is reached.
