Checked 14-16k Syrian migrated to the US (2014-2016), hard to get a decent accurate number by year (2017-2020) as numbers get mixed with the general immigration numbers, but 3.5k in 2017, 62 in 2018, and 631 in 2019.

Also, from what I can find.............seems they are doing good getting settled in the US. However, most of that info is coming from pro-immigration sites.

Oh, checked Native Americans are only 1.6% of the US population..............thus it's a no brainer that majority of Millionaires in the US are immigrants.

Might check later, but thinking the number of Native Americans by % verses other ethnic groups being Millionaires might be up there.................considering all the Indian Reservation Casinos in operation. Maybe not!!!

At first I wasn't keen on Biden but I now appreciate he's a wonderfully small target. Trump can't make him out to be the devil. Covid 19 and the Democrats this time having the right candidate mean it's all over rover. Trump doesn't have enough time left to convince Americans he can lead the Covid 19 response well.

I concur GT. This best they can do is run a scare campaign that Hillary is in the wings and that Biden is nothing other than a proxy candidate. If/When Biden chooses a viable running partner, this argument will look a bit thin to all but the most susceptible voter.

Trump ain't toast yet, but hard to imagine him being in a worse position with just 96 days to go before the election

And he's starting to grizzle like a loser. \:D/

I'm expecting more musical chairs among his campaign team. Hopefully Trump enablers such as Moscow Mitch get the heave-ho too. November also isn't looking too good for Putin.

Uncle Sam will soon be back in "town".

Looks like Hong Kong has taken a leaf out of 45's new play book.

Concern as Hong Kong postpones elections for a year, citing Covid-19

The Hong Kong government has postponed its upcoming elections for one year, citing the growing coronavirus outbreak in the territory but sparking immediate accusations that the pandemic was being used as a pretext to suppress democracy.

Trump should do a Lyndon Johnson and not stand for re-election. He's incapable of leading and managing the Covid 19 crisis. He doesn't have any leadership skills.

US Presidential election odds

Post by Mosquito » August 2, 2020, 2:13 am

Bit off the rails/out there, but anything is possible with Trump (guy only cares about himself).

Attempt to Delay Elections / Stay in Office:
1. Start an isolated shooting war with China.
2. Start a planned tit for tat shooting war with Russia. Planned as Trump and Putin wouldn't blink an eye if a few hundred/thousand of their troops get killed in order to stay in power.
3. Use COVID-19 to declare martial law nation wide. legality?? but rule of law hasn't stopped Trump previously.
4. Call for his fan base to riot/attack his political foes. Has already semi-covertly done this, but talking direct action call out.

More likely he'll come up with a whopper (big big BIG BIG lie/story line), before the elections.

Only wish more of Trump's fan base would do some fact checking, and of course use some common sense.

Where have all UM's 45 fan boys gone? Ever since Lone Star left the field, it's gone awfully quiet out there? Are they having difficulty typing now that they have to look at Trump's world through partly opened fingers. Maybe a facepalm as a barely stifled gasp of incredulity escapes from their tightened lips?

Come on! Speak up boys!

Just listen to Commentators words, along with his statement "..Kingston Town can't win..".

November is still 2 months away and stranger things have happened in politics and it may just get down to, who comes out to vote on that day or.........

Question: What happens if Biden has a heart attack (putting him in hospital) or worse kicks the bucket, in the next 70 days, who becomes the Democratic Nominee? As far as I can see, KH was not chosen by the Democratic Party/Convention, so who will it be? I presume the DP has a Plan B :-k

I see Ms Pelosi .. doent want any presidential debates this time .. Trump would whipe the floor with Biden IF Joes managed to find the debate location that is .

Pelosi needs to hook up with pipsqueak former speaker Bercow .. a match made in heaven.

Memories of days gone by, having a beer and an each way punt in the pub Saturday arvo. Even if you didn’t have a punt people always watched an individual race.
Many a person doubted him, just like the trump deniers. Winning in a canter will be the call in November.
