Thailand's Response - An Outside View

Thailand had the world's first coronavirus case outside China. Here's how it avoided disaster

Thailand is emerging as another success story in the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is all the more remarkable considering the country was the first outside of China to detect a case of COVID-19 back in January.

At the time, there was intense speculation the virus could ravage South-East Asia.

But Thailand — along with Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Vietnam — have all had low case numbers despite sharing porous borders with China and being densely populated.........

they have handled it well. and at same time the
health ministers outlandish statement(s)about
foreigners & virus have morphed into yet another

blame farang exercise, the tourism industry is in
tatters( with no relief in sight) and millions are
left jobless indefinitely. a lot to consider

A good read by the Australian media.

The health minister's farang blame game is only getting bandwidth from a few noisome farangs. The Thai's don't speak of it. Notably, in the linked article about Thailand's public health successes, he doesn't even get a mention.

Maybe we should do the same?
