Have to agree. Most of the checkpoints up here are not manned, the Junta is floundering a bit, saying reduction of cases will result in relaxation of restrictions. What!! 3 a day in 70 million will be reduced??

I never Drink and Drive, to go out to eat one must drive. If I drink I drink at home therefore break no ;laws and do no harm , unlike the vast majority I know who feel a little drink and driving is OK, that is their choice. Re: Alcohol sales ban!
I agree with KP on this one, all too often I see farang drinking and then drive, sometimes right the way across town, it’s 100% wrong to drink and drive.
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.
Re: Alcohol sales ban!
You are correct, but it was mainly those that need to drink that were moaning , not anyone else .

Someone who is normally very quick in responding to any post is obviously not too happy with being called out on this one, or maybe he is just a wee bit under the weather in his house.dunroaming wrote: ↑May 25, 2020, 8:18 pmKP still waiting for an honest answer to a simple question, remembering the good old days when transport around Udon was hard to finddunroaming wrote: ↑May 25, 2020, 6:47 amKP Is that never have or will never do again!Khun Paul wrote: ↑May 25, 2020, 6:42 amI never Drink and Drive, to go out to eat one must drive. Re: Alcohol sales ban!
In days of yore, we ALL used to drink and drive but with the Breathalyser and more time under my belt plus seeing many accidents where sober people died because of a drunk including innocent children, I do not drink and drive.
You can call me what you like I care not, I DO NOT DRINK and DRIVE, unlike many others I know and see having a drink or two speaking what to them is justifiable reasons, that is their life, their choice and their pain should they get caught or involved in an accident possibly not their fault. So before asserting I am not happy about your accusations, I now just smile and think what a load of toss-pots. I live my life my way you can do what the hell you like . I never preach just tell the truth which many do not like . Their problem.

Re: Alcohol sales ban!
So fine you used to drink and drive. I used to smoke but I am not in the least sanctimonious about it and it is quite refreshing that you as a previous paid upholder of the law never thought that it really meant that you had to abide by the rules. What would you say if I said I used to kill people, but I have stopped now so I am no longer a murderer.
Re: Alcohol sales ban!
KP specifics, "we ALL used to drink and drive", 'I used to drink and drive'. "I do not drink and drive" you missed out ANYMORE!!! "I DO NOT DRINK and DRIVE" again missed out 'anymore' You claim you don't preach but you are the nearest thing to it. I do not condone drink driving or drug driving of any sort but the temptations to have one more beer are sometimes a wee bit too much. Just stop the Holier than Though nonsense.Khun Paul wrote: ↑May 26, 2020, 8:10 pmIn days of yore, we ALL used to drink and drive but with the Breathalyser and more time under my belt plus seeing many accidents where sober people died because of a drunk including innocent children, I do not drink and drive.

Thank you for your admission, yes back in the day we all did it but your post implied you had never done it and I simply wanted to clarify this point only. There is no need to attack when on the defensive it was a easy question to answer and you could have simply lied and said No. Everyone is entitled to lead their lives the way they want without others pointing fingers. Have a nice day!Khun Paul wrote: ↑May 26, 2020, 8:10 pmIn days of yore, we ALL used to drink and drive but with the Breathalyser and more time under my belt plus seeing many accidents where sober people died because of a drunk including innocent children, I do not drink and drive.

In lieu of the ritual five pints at the pub, I reckon with the smaller retail packaging, I'm good for about 10 tinnies. Whisky chasers are optional but it really all depends on how close to the curfew I find myself.

Just watched an audience with Paul GAZZA Gascoigne with Willie thotne as the host .. most know about Gazzas problems with booze n mental health issues .. excellent vid for those that know of him and have the right sense of humour ... his accent is a tad hard to follow at times.. but still a lovely daft lad basically.
