Harbour Bar is South beach where all the amusements are. It's not actually a bar but a hiso ice cream parlour.

Been stranded in the UK since March with a g/f on her first trip out of Thailand. No prospect of me getting back imminently and she might have to return alone over the next few weeks which is daunting for her. I could complain but, would rather focus on positive things like the wonderful county of Yorkshire Tam where we all love Hovis!!
I know I can google but is that the one that looks like a castle? we love Yorkshire lovely people, every time we are home we go Ripon, thirsk, York to name a few

Can we have a Yorkshire specialist thread please...these posts are about as exciting as watching Geoffrey Boycott at the crease. Any more of these and I might take up wife bashing myself

I affectionately call her QWERTY, as the keys have left an imprint in her forehead where my stout keyboard meets her cranium.

I was in fact referring to Boycott's run in with the law some years ago. I am neither from Yorkshire nor Glasgow, so find violence against women abhorrent.

There is nothing tawdry about man love, but I need to express a long held view that advertising that you hang around that infamous roundabout, well known as a gay haunt in the wee hours before dawn, well....

We all know that advertising that you don't wear a bum bag means, and be willing to go that 5000 yards is all about.

Harbour Bar Scarborough. Not a castle Dunroaming but, a palace of epicurean delight. I still miss my girlfriend boiling her clams and pulling my pork in Issan though.

BTW Whistler, you're correct, Yorkshire deserves it's own thread, and, Sir Geoffrey, as I have said on this forum before, is a legend.

any idea when vol 3 of the "Car Park CCTV" (a roundabout for all seasons) will be available?

Thoroughly enjoyed Vol 2 (they were still at it when I went for breakfast)

Samster,

So right, when other somnambulists count sheep, I count our Geoffrey batting.
'On a tour to Australia in 1964, the match ended at 6:00 pm local time. Boycott had been at the crease for 22 unbeaten overs, but had failed to score the single run, required for victory. By 6:30 the police sent to control traffic entered the SCG and found 38,730 fans asleep. Fearing a pandemic, the entire ambulance fleet of the city was dispatched to Moore Park. They injected stimulants to the prone fans, then to the bus drivers outside of the stadium and adverted what was regarded as a massive sleeping sickness on the populace'

I've had the honour of meeting Geoff several times Whistler and been on the end of his tongue when I was p***** once. He is exactly as you would expect. Very direct and, sometimes, unintentionally, hilarious. Love the bloke for all his faults

Agree 100%, then stop all Yorkshire people from posting on this site. Wonderful news...….lol
