So, What is open in Udon?
So, What is open in Udon?
So, What is open in Udon?
In my travels seems that most if not all shops are open along Udon’s downtown many Soi’s, not busy but about the same as before, go in get what you need and leave.
So What’s Open?
Seems that the Malls are closed down except for food stores?
Complex: Seems like everything is closed except Tops, Royal, ... ??? Told by security most upper floors for parking are closed, when I lost my car. Not funny.
Night Market: seems to being gutted? Maybe planned? but Villa Market is open? sorry didn’t go in
Tesco Main: Seems everything except food closed off
So anyone know about:
LandMark
Global House
...
Just might be a Good Idea to Support your local neighborhood Shops? Instead of sending your funds outside of Thailand. Sure maybe a few ฿ more but it supports the local Economy? and in times like these it really matters.
stay safe

Re: So, What is open in Udon?
posted on wrong thread should of been here ..
Had to swoop into town yesterday to pay an essential bill , what did i see ..
i purposely drove thru town via TSM and around a few locations ...still seeing all the noddle shops , isan food and similar open and very busy , no SD but most wearing masks.
As posted by Tam the town center was (not suprisingly) quiet traffic wise , whilst the Ring road near the airport remains busy as a normal day.
Soi Samphan .. totally closed except hotels , laundries and the booze shop opp Irish Clock... a hand full of freelancers hanging around on the corner Phosri rd end of Samphan , not one ladyboy , from a distance looked like the Spice Girls then upon a closer drive by the Spice Girls GRANDMOTHERS .. and and the perfect advertisement for hand gel n self pleasuring ive ever seen.
Construction work at the museum on going and other locations.
Toyota Taharn Rd open but deserted only staff.
Banks open but looked very quiet.
All big DIY places closed .. smaller builders merchants open.
all barber shops closed inc the roadside ones i use .. gonna look like a hill billy vagrant soon !!! im growing a beard
Karen hotel set up a stand out front on Wattanapong rd offering free snacks and drinks.
Grab bikes out in there zillions
Nadee Tesco n Big C car parks busy...Makro cp also
My fav bbq chicken lady has packed up n gone
Took Megan the JR pup for her vacine .. vets told to stop non essential services ie grooming.
Got a roadside takeaway roast chicken on way back to office and the great duck noodle n food place 30m from my office is open WITH 6 instead of 12 tables
I am of the opinion this can be beaten by staying at home , curfews , restrictions etc but not seeing the governmnets requests being embraced by the majority YET .. and for the most part not taking this situation seriously.
remain safe to ALL even Grimsby fans and Diane Abbot .. in times like this we should not descriminate against anyone even fish smelling retards and mathematically challenged fookwits.

Re: So, What is open in Udon?
We have to go to the apartments and will stop at Makro on the way for supplies, not too much of a worry there, they seem to be more careful than most about who they let in, i will have a good idea about what's what by then.
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.
Re: So, What is open in Udon?

Re: So, What is open in Udon?
Well the trip to Makro was done, ring road as busy as usual, Nittayo road as busy as it always is on a non school day, Makro quieter than usual, to be expected as a lot of bars and restaurants are closed. The village same, same, all sitting outside the mom and pop shop, the concept of social distancing? Forget it.

Re: So, What is open in Udon?
Correct .. i had a lunchtime meeting in town today and way way more places open as normal ( that shouldnt be IMO ) than closed... full lap of the ring road and just as busy as any other day.
Police check point near Ruysuk 2 Hotel .
Looks like the Royal Thai army are monitoring the curfew according to the news on internet.

Re: So, What is open in Udon?
Was great until a week ago . was taking my 2 boys swimming every 2 days at nakha buri resort .My 10 yr old swims well my 4 yr old on the brink of starting to swim went 4 times in a week . nobody there except for us and i read that the chlorine kills the virus so ok . Only 1 lady at the shop to pay but then we went and she said the police told her she had to shut.
My village looks the same . a few with masks but most not . noodle shops open market and small stores all open ,kids playing football in the school. Like there is no virus . i have been on lockdown with my 2 boys for 11 days now. Could kill a swim .
no logic to me big c tesco makro open but chlorine pool closed but there we are . hope it will not last to long

Re: So, What is open in Udon?
Did my first trip out the front gate in the ute today. Few stops for essentials.
LPG bottle changed out on the ring road depot. Usual stop for a ticket to proceed with temperature check and hand wash, all bottles sprayed in the utes with what ever.
Then down the Sam Prao road for a very quick stop to provide some of our garden Veges to an old lady, also missus wanted to check in on her wellbeing.
Then off to makro for a top up of edibles. Another temp check, not to busy and trying to distance at the chicken counter, forget it.
Then a stop for take away noodles for a late lunch.
Then a quick roadside stop for pineapples on the Nong Samrong road.
The large essential supply paint shop on the ring road was open for those who want to purchase and watch paint dry during imprisonment. Seemed to be busy.
Generally most people were just going about their business and moving on.
