The Doomer is essentially the by-product of Generation X or is usually a millennial or Gen Z person that grew up in the era where technological advances were exponential. Information has become accessible to just about anyone in the world, and the changes in things may invoke nostalgia in them.

The Doomer also refers to those young people who seem perpetually angry, and predict the end of the world owing to the mistakes of the boomer generation. The doomers also promote 'cancel culture'.
