From a fans point of view ....... with all the "super tech" now available (Expected goals/expected assists/who ran how far etc) it should be easy to calculate to the nearest second how many minutes a game is actually in progress.
Take that info (calculated over a whole season as a percentage of 90 mins)
Clubs should be forced to REDUCE ticket prices by that amount the following season so as fans get what they pay for

to me it is not about fake last 10min injuries , but the unnecessary substitutions made at fe the last minute , giving the player a detailed sketching what he must accomplish if he even get a touch of the ball? ,ridiculous..
,no last 10 minutes substitutions could mean a last 10 minutes of offensive play ...
and playtime should stay 90 min even with a stop the clock system , are they athletes or not? ,at least their paycheck sure is ... ;)

You make a valid point ,,, No subs in the last 10 mins ..interesting idea .. at the moment referees allow 30 seconds add on per sub introduced but its obvious the team that is winning at the time and needs the final whistle MANAGER does it to break up the play holding on to a lead ..... or even a draw as in teams like Man u , Newcastle n Everton etc.

Some changes are no doubt needed but could make things worse ..as in this VAR .. worst thing since Leeds Utd were in the EPL .. in thats decades ago i think.

Only another 4 months to wait and we will be back.

Personally, I think it's a farce. For me we should look at the NFL challenge system. One in each half and loss of one sub if the challenge is spurious. Would make the managers put up or shut up.

No subs in last 10 ?? That will only mean taking them in the 75th to 80 mins (one after another with a gap between each ) When is the last 10 mins (if a long early injury then 80th min on clock could still leave 25 or 30 mins of actual playing time where a genuine injury could occur). Only last gameweek we saw what happens when you get an injury early and no possibility of Sub being used (Toon playing nearly all the second half with 10 men through no fault of their own).
That idea is definitely a non starter

Been watching the American Football play-offs and realised the PL are missing a trick regarding VAR.
Whilst a VAR decision is pending it's the perfect opportunity to put on some TV commercials. Then, like the American game, wait for the commercials to finish before commencing the game. Think of the extra revenue that would bring in. It might help the footballers earn a living wage. :D
Seriously though, we complain about VAR slowing the game down but it's nothing compared to the commercialism of the American game.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with a game of quarters where the fourth quarter can be as long as the preceding three quarters combined and the final 2 minute warning means you have at least half-an-hour before it's over.

Personally, I like it when a late sub comes on and scores a goal thus breaking the deadlock.

Fans love it too and it gives the sub a chance of being starter.

Jose Mourinho took a dig at Liverpool after his side’s 1-0 defeat to the Reds on Saturday by describing Jurgen Klopp’s men as ‘lucky’. Roberto Firmino’s first half goal gave the Reds a one-goal advantage that rarely looked under threat for the remainder of the match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

And it looks like old Ernesto got lucky too, coming away with 22 Quid.

Man City - Crystal Palace

A Man City win but odds are 1/12 - too huge for me.

Liverpool - Man Utd

A Liverpool win with odds at 4/11. :-k

Shiver me timbers, the toon scored in "added time" .......... someone will be in for a right b*lloxing for that ...... They should know by know, if not losing at 80 min mark it's 11 men BEHIND the ball defending our penalty box area. Shouldn't be anyone in opponents half let alone in their penalty box
