Post by stattointhailand » November 9, 2019, 7:27 pm

FA Cup reaches the 1st round proper this weekend where the leagues minnows join the non league survivors.

SUNDERLAND have a home tie against the might Gills and Scunny have a tough trip to that Man Utd supporters hotbed Crawley Town :-$

Good luck to all players and supporters .... the dream is still alive \:D/

The players from my local team, Macclesfield, have gone on strike due to non payment and late payment of their wages for a few months now.
So they are fielding there youth team against Kingstonian this afternoon. (16-18 year olds).
The owner of Macc is an Iraqi business man who has run out of dosh.
It's a bit like a guy over here with just his uk pension to live on and trying to stay at the Pullman in Khon Kaen !

Right topic as in footy ..but slightly wrong thread .. maybe should of been on the very vibrant SCUNTHOROE THREAD ..
I.digress .. last night saw Scunny beat Sunderland 3 zip.at Glandford park .... which asks the question how can scunny play so well one time then utter dross in the league ..and just how low are Sunderland gonna sink...even getted bogged down in L1 for more than the 1 or 2 seasons predicted .

Indeed not a classic but the right result prevailed .. hopefully after a terrible start to.the season scunny have turned the corner n developing into a decent group despite many injuries at mo.

Btw ..im.hearing a few PVFC fans were refused entry to the game as they were over dressed .. turni g up in tuxedos as a wedding stag dooo .. SUFC do have standrads..low ones obviously .

Dm

Wheres the grass roots thread gone ..cant find it ..nit in the sports section .. UM treacaery as scunny getting too much positive press recently .

Close but no coconut.

FA Cup - Second Round
Solihull Moors 3 Rotherham United 4 (HT 2-0)
Osborne (6' minutes), Gudger (8' minutes), Ball (62' minutes)
Ladapo (76' minutes), Ihiekwe (79' minutes), Smith (88' minutes, 90'+1 minutes)

Rotherham United staged a stunning fightback to come from 3-0 down to beat non-league Solihull Moors and reach the FA Cup third round.
