Is Alfie still in the hospital? I was there yesterday and they said "no have".

Alfie is in Surgical Ward 2 Bed 5.
His puppy has not been seen since the accident, near Kritchai Villa on Highway 22.

Nok says she will try to be open as much as possible starting Wednesday. She still has to care for Alf at home.
It would be nice to show some support, she needs it. Had to pay about 150,000 baht to get Alf out of hospital not to mention loss of income due to resturant being closed.

She says Alf bought some insurance week before accident but still not sure if they will pay. So far the Go Fund Me page has resulted in about 35,000 Baht.

Alfie is now apparently out of hospital. Nok was opened for limited hours on Monday, my friends and I order takeaway sandwiches Monday lunchtime.

What do people think about having a special dinner one night next week, as many as possible to come. Maybe have some fun like a trivia night with all proceeds going to help Nok & Alfie?

If there is any interest, I am happy to organise, but we need 15+ to make it worthwhile.

Great, can you send me a private message with your mail address, we need more of course so lets hope others join in. That is 4 and I can think of at least 3 other couples who will be there, so we are up to 10 and counting.

I went for lunch there at 2 pm this afternoon. I was the only customer there. They had only one other customer earlier in the day.
Nok's daughter served me; she has lost her job at the coffee place she was working.
Nok told me the she brought Afie to her place to save on hospital charges. She has to take him back to the hospital 4 more times. I took away two more meals. Please help them.

Hi Ray,

We can talk about it tomorrow, but I hope Thomas, yourself, Rick and Mike will all come along to the dinner with your wives.

We are up to 14 if that is the case

Nok says she will close the doors on the 25th of this month. She has been trying to sell but, thus far, no buyer.
She has a lot on her plate with taking care of her husband after his awful accident.

I only wish some enterprising fahlang and or significant other would take it over. There is no othe place in the Nong Som Rang area to get a fahlang meal or breakfast. There is TJ’s but she seems to be closed more than open.

Being right across the street from the Army golf course, it seems to me with proper management and Marketing it could do a nice business. It is small but very clean and well kept. There are sleeping quarters up stairs. Non tells me she pays only 7,000 Baht per month. I don’t know her asking price but assume it would be much lower than before - a buyer’s market,

There are a lot of farlangs living in the area within 5 or 10 kilometers plus a lot of fahlangs play the golf course across the street. I, for one and several of my group go there for a late breakfast after golf.

Nok says Alf is able to walk but does not get out of the house.
As for getting a bunch together to eat there it would do her no good. She has made up her mind to close.
By herself again as her daughter found another job

Just saw this sad news regarding Alfie's accident.

Looking forward to an update with news of further recovery.

Alfie is one of the nicest expats I encountered back around 2009, have enjoyed every conversation with him over the years, often combined with a plate of Swedish meatballs! Such a positive person.

Nok restaurant now seems closed.
All the very best to Nok for the near and distant future.
She was always pleasant and friendly serving very good meals.
Unfortunate to lose a close by eatery, my daughter on occasions loved the cheese burgers when on the way home after 8 from badminton.
Plus nice cold beer for dad.
