Man, oh man.

Democrats taking away the tax cuts for all Americans. They have run away to join the circus.

Over the weekend, Uncle Joe Biden became the latest to pledge that all of Trump's tax cuts will be eliminated if he becomes president. ALL of the tax cuts.

Uncle Joe keeps touting himself as the only Democrat who can win back working class and middle class Americans. This proves that Uncle Joe is not who he claims to be. In an effort to survive the socialist primaries, Uncle Joe is trying to be someone who he has never been -- a socialist, Leftist, capitalism-hating circus goer.

It's always about the details, but the doom & gloom headline seekers jump on the hint of anything that might be bad for the US like a puppy with a sock. It is true again -- this time with US-China Trade.

September was the announced date of new tariffs going into effect. The dire predictions swirled. I blew them off as predictions because the tariffs hadn't happened yet. I even thought they may not happen at all.

So here's an update:

The US is delaying tariffs on certain items until December. Some items targeted were removed completely from the tariff list. There will still be 10% tariffs added on about $300 billion in Chinese imports kicking in on September 1. Some of the items removed had to do with health, safety, national security issues and other factors.

This all occurred after USTRs spoke by phone with their Chinese counterparts. They will talk again in two weeks. Robert Lighthizer and Steve Mnuchin are leading the USTR Team.

At stake for the US is not just a trade deficit with China, but theft of intellectual property and trade secrets. As expected, and has been true of other US trading partners, they don't want to give up their unfair advantage over the US that they have enjoyed for decades.

US markets responded very positively to this adjustment in the tariffs.

STILL WINNING.

Some politicians make a habit of lying, and it occurs pretty often with guns, gun stats, crime stats, police shootings and even numbers of shootings.

Here's Bernie Sanders' latest contribution in this theater of myth.

Bernie is now campaigning in New Hampshire, where one of the early Democrat primaries will be held. During his visit with voters, Bernie claimed that it is lawful for a single firearm purchaser to enter a retail gun shop, buy several firearms and pass them on to criminals. This is false. Whether it's a lie or not will depend on if Bernie knows it's false and says it anyway. These types of purchases are referred to as "Straw Purchases."

STRAW PURCHASES ARE ILLEGAL UNDER FEDERAL LAW.

Those buying guns are required to pass a background check before taking possession of the firearm. The purchaser has to complete ATF Form 4473. The very first question asks the purchaser if the firearms are for them and WARNS them that if they are not the intended owner of the firearm, they are in violation of federal law to purchase for someone else.

The retailer cannot sell to someone making purchases for others.
A straw purchaser is a person with a clean background who purchases firearms specifically on behalf of a person prohibited from purchasing a firearm because he or she is a convicted felon, domestic violence misdemeanants, juvenile, mentally ill individual or other federally or state-defined prohibited person. The straw purchaser violates federal law by making a false statement to the FFL about a material fact by lying on ATF Form 4473 (the firearm transaction record) or presenting false identification in connection with the purchase.
Look for more gun alarmism myths from Democrat candidates running for president.

Trump caves on tariffs
He can’t pull the trigger.

President Trump delayed the new tariffs on a large batch of Chinese imports that were supposed to go into effect Sept. 1, and exempted some other Chinese imports altogether. The move deescalates Trump’s trade war with China, and amounts to a tacit acknowledgement by Trump that his tariffs might hurt American consumers too much.

Laptops, cellphones, gaming consoles, and other products imported from China won’t face a 10% tariff on Sept. 1, as expected. The Trump administration says the 10% tariffs on those products will go into effect on Dec. 15, instead. But the delay reveals an unwillingness by Trump to raise the cost of products many Americans find essential, suggesting he’s bluffing about ever imposing such a tariff.

LIB Thug Mob threats continue. This time it's members of the US Senate threatening the Supreme Court.

In a nutshell: Issue liberal rulings on the 2nd Amendment and other liberal issues or Democrats are going to try to restructure the court if they ever regain power to do so.

In other words, they're calling for the justices to legislate from the bench and become an "activist" group. That's not why the SCOTUS exists. They exist to follow the Constitution and ensure that the country stays in line with the Constitution.

The elected thugs: Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), leftwing partisan Sens. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Mazie Hirono (D-HI), Richard Durbin (D-IL), and presidential candidate Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY).

The SCOTUS is part of the Judicial Branch -- a co-equal branch of the federal government that has checks and balances over the other two branches.

The Founders and Framers demanded judicial independence, and the American People also make that demand as a component of a free society. When politicians threaten that judicial independence, they are threatening the fundamental right of the citizenry to be able to be secure in their liberty and freedom. That is one reason why federal judges receive lifetime appointments.

LIBs always want to change the rules when they lose. Get rid of voter ID. Get rid of the Electoral College. Get rid of immigration laws so that they can entertain more voters. Create sanctuary cities to provide a socialist habitat for law-breakers.

FDR was one of the most popular presidents in history -- elected 4 times to that office. Even he was unsuccessful in pulling of a "court-packing" stunt to get his stuff to pass constitutional muster.

Even the LIB heroine on the SCOTUS, Ruth Bader-Ginsberg, has rejected these calls -- publicly -- to expand the court.

Democrats insist on running away to join the circus.

"President Donald Trump sought to take credit Tuesday for a major manufacturing complex in western Pennsylvania in his latest effort to reinvigorate the Rust Belt support that sent him to the White House. He was cheered on by fluorescent-vest-clad workers who were paid to attend by Shell, their employer, which is building the facility.

Despite Trump's claims, Shell announced its plans to build the complex in 2012, midway through President Barack Obama's term in the White House."

This will make heads explode.

Word coming out of the UK from Reuters is that Trump and BoJo are already engaged in a massive trade deal that is set to go into effect the day after a no-deal Brexit is set to happen on October 31.

Trump has made no secret of the fact that he supports Brexit and has said all along that he would seek to make a great trade with the UK. Trump made the same offer to Theresa May two years ago.

There is talk that a formal announcement could be made at the G7 summit in France.

Indications are that the US would help the UK be a massive trade hub in that region of the world, and the deal is being compared to the USMCA deal between the US and Canada/Mexico. There would be a huge upside for the UK.

The trade arrangement would only be between the US and the UK with compromised reciprocity and few if any trade barriers. Since the EU would no longer be able to influence trade agreements for the UK, those European countries and countries like Poland and Hungary and others could get tariff-free access to US markets through Britain -- either by moving some operations there or through transnational shipping. On the other end, the US would enjoy the same benefit shipping through Britain to the EU.

Again, the UK could become a huge trade hub in that region of the world.

If any company in the EU wanted to do business with North America, it would behoove them to begin some operations in the UK. Leverage.

If it happens, it'll be WIN-WIN for the UK and the US.

Tim Scott.jpeg

Senator Tim Scott, Republican from South Carolina, appeared in a television interview and emphatically defended Trump against all of the racist accusations. Scott does not march in lockstep with Trump on every issue, but he is defending Trump's record and character when it comes to providing programs and policies that help the Black American community.

Scott referred to the Democrat calls of "racist" as a tired, old strategy that has occurred with every Republican presidential candidate since Barry Goldwater in 1964. Nixon, Reagan, GHW Bush, GWB, McCain and Romney have all been tagged by Democrats as Hitler and racist. It is a never-ending drumbeat.

Senator Scott:
“Well, there’s no doubt that President Trump is not a racist, and the facts are very simple—that the same folks that voted for me voted for President Trump because President Trump made promises to the voters and he’s keeping the promises.

“Without any question, look at his legacy, it will be his accomplishments in office, frankly helping, in many, many ways, African Americans. President Trump has been able to deliver policies that have promoted, encouraged, and inspired growth in the African American community economically in a way that no president has done in the last 40 years. This president is not a racist.”
The list produced by Scott of the Trump accomplishments backed up Scott's defense. Historically low unemployment, support for changes in the criminal justice system, "opportunity zones" that encourage economic development in the inner cities, and sickle cell anemia research are just some of the initiatives sponsored by Trump.

Scott pointed to no plan by Democrats to create policies to benefit ALL Americans as their reason for pulling the race card on Trump.

Senator Scott:
“If you were running on the left, would you run the Green New Deal? Would you run on the 70 percent new income tax? Would you run on a 4 percent wealth tax? Would you run on a financial transaction tax? No.

“Well you would run on some tired narrative that the president because he’s a Republican has to be somehow a racist. It's a different dimension that I don’t understand.”.
It gets better. Full video interview here in Senator Scott's own words:

Yes, it's true. Shell announced their idea to build their Pennsylvania Petrochemicals Complex in 2012. Except they didn't build it or even START on it until 2016. Why didn't Shell build it? Shell didn't make a final investment decision to build the plant until 2016 ... four years after their announcement. It could have had something to do with oil prices ... or an administration that wasn't very fossil fuel friendly.

Or maybe, all of a sudden, the new pro-business POTUS decided to help promote
"massive tax breaks to build the petrochemicals complex, along with a $10 million site development grant, with local politicians eager to accommodate a multibillion-dollar construction project."
Where'd that quote come from?!?!?!?!

The same damn Associated Press article that was bashing Trump for claiming credit for the opening of the plant. As usually happens, the dishonest media hides it multiple paragraphs down into the article.

And then there's this statement made by Trump at the beginning of his speech ...

Trump Speech excerpt in Pennsylvania:
"As Gretchen said, this would have never happened without me and us ..."
Who is Gretchen? She introduced Trump to the crowd. Do some research on Gretchen Hauser-Watkins. You'll learn just what authority she has to make such a statement and to be there to introduce Trump.

It's soooooooooo easy to grab a doom & gloom headline about Trump when the whole media is out to GET TRUMP. And of course, there's an accusatory first paragraph or two that baits the naive reader looking only for bad news. That naive reader will often not read the whole article or do any additional research.

Alas, it has happened again. The emotion is overwhelming.

And here's the biggest kicker of all: every article I ran across -- at least a dozen different online media groups that ran with the same AP story -- chastised Trump for taking credit for the plant, but also blamed Trump for the pollution that they claim the plant will cause. They even interviewed protesters, but they didn't interview Gretchen Hauser-Watkins. Hell, can't do that!!!

True to form with the media playing GET TRUMP, everything is Trump's fault BECAUSE TRUMP.

Well, it's more good news from July! This time it's the bright outlook of small business owners.

A report by the National Federation of Independent Business Optimism rose 1.4 points in July to 104.7, despite "experts" predicting it would remain flat.

NFIB Rep:
“This is a confirmation that small business owners remain very optimistic about the economy despite all the talk about ‘slowing. Expectations for business conditions, real sales, and expansion posted solid gains.”
The constant negative PREDICTION drumbeat has not fooled Americans -- consumers or business owners -- who are able to see that their experiences in the economy are NOT what the "experts" are predicting.

In addition to the positive NFIB expectation number, there were positives in other areas: good time to expand, higher sales and plans to hire more employees. However, many of the business owners surveyed said that it is difficult to hire workers because there are more jobs than labor available.

STILL WINNING.

CLEAN ENERGY Trump Lies To Room Full Of Energy Workers, Claims Wind Turbines ‘Kill All The Birds’ And Make TVs ‘Go Off’
ByGuardians of Democracy StaffPublished on August 13, 2019 SHARE TWEET 0 Comments

President Donald Trump on Tuesday headed to a Shell petrochemicals plant being built outside of Pittsburgh to give what was billed by the White House as a speech on “America’s Energy Dominance and Manufacturing Revival,” but quickly turned into a rambling speech that included racial slurs, jokes about serving a third term in office and even included outrageous lies about wind power.

"Addressing a room full of energy workers, Trump touted the supposed benefits of “clean, affordable, all-American natural gas” over renewable energy.

“And when the wind stops blowing, it doesn’t make any difference does it?” Trump claimed.

“Unlike those big windmills that destroy everybody’s property values, kill all the birds,” Trump said, though the Department of Energy has noted that bird deaths from windmills are rare.

He continued: “One day the environmentalists are going to tell us what’s going on with that. And then all of a sudden it stops. The wind and the televisions go off. And your wives and husbands say ‘Darling, I want to watch Donald Trump on television tonight. But the wind stopped blowing and I can’t watch. There’s no electricity in the house, darling.’”

He is winning in this department for sure

It seems (Swedish) justice has prevailed:
A court in Stockholm has found the American rapper A$AP Rocky guilty of assault in a case that earlier this year led to a US-Swedish spat when Donald Trump attempted to secure his release.

The Bloated Orange Bullshiiters attempted interference (?obstruction) in a superior justice system seems to have fallen flat on its face.

Least Squares "Yes, it's true. Shell announced their idea to build their Pennsylvania Petrochemicals Complex in 2012. Except they didn't build it or even START on it until 2016. Why didn't Shell build it?"

You would have to ask Tom Corbett the Governor at that time why SHELL never built. OH, and by the way he is or was a Republican, January 2011 to Jan 2015
The man who I guess you would say got the ball rolling would be Tom Wolf the present Governor and you guessed it, is a Democrat
Why didnt Shell build? Your typical" The Ball is pitched and they will swing"
