Conrad Black is back spouting facts in support of his friend the President:
The Globe and Mail’s commentators on political events in Washington have, like the rest of the Canadian media, completely missed the story. So have most of the American media, which the Canadian media witlessly parrot, but Trump ran against the American media and won. He demonstrated that they were complicit in all the economic and strategic blunders of the George W. Bush and Obama years: the Great Recession, the endless Mideast wars and humanitarian disasters, 20 million illegal and unskilled immigrants and a flat-lined “new normal” economy. GDP growth per capita declined from 4.5 per cent in the Reagan years to one per cent under Obama. This president ran against every part of the political establishment of both parties including especially the national media, whom he has rendered almost irrelevant by using social media and dominating the talk-radio circuit. The traditional media, whose Trump-hating excrescences are inflicted on Canadian readers and viewers have, to their towering chagrin, almost no influence in the U.S. Trump has outmanoeuvred them. Most of the American national media is now an embittered, rabid, unclothed emperor, but their Canadian analogues spout their bilious nonsense anyway....

The outrages that did occur were that senior elements of the CIA and FBI co-operated with the Clinton campaign before the election and after, to publicize the spurious Steele dossier, a pastiche of lies and defamations ultimately funded by Hillary Clinton’s camp. The Justice department’s highest officials then used the same dossier as part of the basis for applications to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance court (FISA), to authorize espionage against the Trump campaign and transition team. The justice and intelligence apparatus of the U.S. was unconstitutionally politicized, the closest the United States has ever come to a presidential election rigged or undone by unlawful official interference. When all else failed, the canard of Russian collusion was dredged up, and although as FBI agent Peter Strzok acknowledged to his FBI girlfriend by text (he said he felt “concern there’s no there there”), this farce was kept going for two years in the hope that Trump would blow up and fire Mueller, as Nixon did Archibald Cox in 1973, so some sort of obstruction charge could be cobbled together to force an impeachment trial.

.

Democrats are the undisputed Champions of Unintended Consequences. They prove it over and over and over again.

Joaquin Castro, brother of failing Democrat candidate Julian Castro, got the bright idea to dox some Trump donors from the San Antonio, Texas area.

Castro's intention was to shame donors to Trump into withdrawing their support. However, the dumba55 didn't realize that six of those donors had donated to HIM AND TO HIS BROTHER!

The 44 doxxed donors have now had to take added security measures for themselves and for their family members.

Joaquin Castro:
"Their contributions are fueling a campaign of hate that labels Hispanic immigrants as 'invaders.'"
Both Castros have also blamed Trump for the shootings in Ohio and Texas.

William Greehey, philanthropist:
“It is just amazing to me that he would do that. Then he's calling me a racist because I'm supporting Trump. I mean, this is just ridiculous. There's a lot of things you don't like about the president and his tweeting, but here Castro is doing the same thing with his tweeting.”
You can't be a Democrat without being a Hypocrite.

Edward Steves, manufacturer:
“He's probably got 44 people that are going to contribute heavily to whoever might run against him in the primaries.”
Donald Kuyrkendall, San Antonio real estate:
“Were his intentions to incite people to picket Bill Miller's barbecue or to come to Don Kuyrkendall’s house, you know, assault my wife, make nasty comments? Life is short and this kind of silliness is not good for anybody, especially with the climate we have right now with two mass shootings in a weekend. There's just no reason to highlight individuals and their companies as being some kind of, I don't even know what he thinks we are, bad guys because we support Republicans? I'm just hopeful that none of this gets serious and that my grandchildren and children will be not intimidated by this stuff.”
Wayne Harwell, donor to Castro in 2011:
“I sure will not give to Castro any more. Trump has helped our country have economic prosperity. I support his efforts although I may not support each word, I like the results of his efforts for America.”
IT GETS WORSE . . . For citizens.

Castro is now catching heat from all sides for publicizing information that many view as an invitation for nuts to attack these people, attack their businesses and employees because these donors support Trump. In other words, it potentially puts people in danger. Castro is doing what he blames Trump for doing.

Castro has invited the LIB Thug Mob to go after American civilians exercising their freedom to support whomever they wish for public office.

The goal is intimidation. No question about it.

IT GETS WORSE . . . For Castro and BETTER for Civilians.

Bill Miller Bar-B-Q, one of the businesses targeted, had a huge increase in support in the form of overflowing business. Miller's restaurant empire has been in business since 1950 and has 70+ restaurants in San Antonio and beyond.

IT GETS WORSE . . . for Democrats and BETTER for TRUMP.

Trump had two huge fundraisers in the Hamptons in NY. The campaign anticipated $10 million in donations. After Castro's doxxing stunt, the Trump campaign brought in $12 million in that one day in the Hamptons.

AND EVEN WORSE . . . for Democrats in San Antonio.

R.H. Bowman, one of those targeted by Castro:
“My phone’s been lit up for two days with calls from many of the Texas 44 and others of our friends here in Texas who are outraged by Castro’s comments. It looks like another million dollars is now headed to support the Trump 2020 campaign from those of us who were targeted, and other Texans, including Hispanics, incidentally, whose resolve to support [the president] is only strengthened by this personal attack."
STEADY WINNING.

More hypocrisy by Democrats on GUNS and ILLEGAL ALIENS.

Who is surprised?

Prior to the August recess of Congress, Democrats were pushing a bill known as HR 8 -- "The Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019".

The House Judiciary Committee, the majority of which are Democrats, voted 23-15 to bring the bill to floor of the House.

However, an amendment to the bill by Republican Florida Rep. Greg Steube proposed that law enforcement be notified "when an individual attempting to purchase a firearm fails the background check." This would have also applied to ILLEGAL ALIENS who attempt to purchase a firearm.

Democrats rejected the amendment and proposed the bill without the amendment. It passed the House 240-190, but will probably never pass the Senate in its current form.

Democrats continue their attacks on guns, but seek to protect ILLEGAL ALIENS at all cost.
the alternative argument is this.

The bill was certain to pass, the Dems were for it,but so were several GOP members.

Steube described the bill as an attack on the 2nd Amendment and was against the bill from the getgo.

So Steube with a few cohorts decide to create a diversion, his amendment brought in a demonization of illegals, despite many studies showing illegals had a significantly lower crime rate than US citizens. If they had committed a crime, the background check applied to them with the same force as it would for US citizens or green card holders

This bill was about background checks, not immigration policy. His amendment, a classic furphy, was seen as a cynical diversion, and was voted down.

It seems Trump doesn't need to buy off anyone's silence any more. If another Stormy type story emerges, he can just let the story unfold. There's now no need to try to buy more silence. Even if he's facing more rape allegations.

Given his sexual predation history, more allegations of rape might emerge. The spotlight of course is a huge disincentive for women to make these kind of allegations.

The great Larry Elder outlines the phony racism accusations leveled against Trump, the times that Trump has repeatedly been misquoted and been asked to condemn Nazis, white supremacists, the KKK, et al. The media pushes that phony narrative repeatedly with Trump.

Elder outlines the number of mass shootings under each president -- 24 under Bayrack, and his invoking of "The Ferguson Lie" and pushing "The Ferguson Effect." Add the murders of police officers during Bayrack's watch. All in Bayrack's own words.

Elder outlines the anti ILLEGAL ALIEN rhetoric of Democrats. Oh yes, BEFORE TRUMP, Democrats were against illegal aliens entering the country. The Resistance Movement of Democrats against Trump and against America began BECAUSE TRUMP. Watch. All in their own words.

Elder also provides data on the number of times that US citizens use guns to DEFEND THEMSELVES. It happens hundreds of thousands of times A YEAR -- 1.25 MILLION times a year. Legal gun owners acting legally to defend themselves.

Larry Elder is a conservative voice of the highest integrity.

Forbes is reporting another Trump negotiating achievement that will save taxpayers millions of dollars.

Trump and his associates have convinced Lockheed Martin to sell their F-35A below $80 million. That's less than the price of a new F-16 that is being replaced by the F-35A!

In less than three years, Trump has negotiated down the price of each F-35A by 25%. Even if not factoring in inflation, reducing the cost of each fighter from over $100 million to less than $80 million is a major accomplishment for Trump.
Between the last Obama negotiation and the most recent Trump negotiation, the unit cost of the Air Force version is down 27%, the cost of the Marine version is down 27%, and the cost of the Navy version will fall over 30%.
In addition, by bundling the cost of spare parts with the construction of new airframes, maintenance costs of each F-35A goes down significantly.

Trump’s negotiating skills have made a big difference in reducing government costs.
The president promised he would deliver billions of dollars in savings, and that is what he has done. A skillful combination of threats, persuasion and compromise has pushed the cost of each F-35 below the list price for an empty jetliner—and nobody expects the jetliner to survive a flight through hostile air space.

It’s a safe bet that President Trump won’t get any more credit for his F-35 triumph from the mainstream media than he has gotten for creating six million new jobs or eliminating regulations. But his administration has now positioned its biggest weapons program to reap huge savings as production ramps up for America’s joint force and its allies. This is the kind of efficiency that the people who originally conceived the F-35 fighter had hoped for, but it took Trump to make it happen.
STEADY WINNING.

SpyGate

Post by Lone Star » August 12, 2019, 7:14 am

.

The release of Bruce Ohr's 302s has brought more sunlight upon the Coup Cabal working within the upper echelons of the FBI and DOJ under Obama's watch. This time, predictably, it provides information Bruce Ohr's wife, Nellie. Ohr's wife worked for Fusion GPS, which helped created the phony Steele dossier used to gain FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign.

So what's new with Nellie?

We now learn that Nellie passed a similar dossier on Paul Manafort to her husband in the DOJ to forward to the FBI.

Something that is lost on many is that Andrew Weissmann, who was Mueller's #1 investigator on his team, was part of the DOJ and in the chain of custody involved in the Coup Cabal. Weissmann was part of it. Weissmann is at least a witness, if not a co-conspirator. Even with that conflict of interest, Mueller had him on his team. After seeing Mueller testify, it's entirely possible that Mueller couldn't even put 2+2 together. There are other major conflicts of interest involved in all of this -- Mueller, Comey, Rosenstein are the most glaring of those at the top of all of this.

So Weissmann, in the chain of custody of all of these phony accusations and fabrications of evidence, is the lead dog in the hunt to GET TRUMP. Ironically, Weissmann quietly resigned from the DOJ right after the Mueller Investigation and has a teaching gig somewhere.

Some more background to remind readers about includes the fact that Nellie Ohr worked for Fusion GPS, which worked with the Hillary Campaign, the DNC, the DOJ, the FBI and were involved in over $1.5 million in payments to create opposition research to GET TRUMP. Nellie Ohr was hired as part of this chain in 2015.

Tom Fitton, Judicial Watch:
“These new Bruce Ohr FBI 302s show an unprecedented and irregular effort by the FBI, DOJ, and State Department to dig up dirt on President Trump using the conflicted Bruce Ohr, his wife, and the Clinton/DNC spies at Fusion GPS.”
The existence of the Manafort Dossier and how it got to the FBI was not made public until now. This new revelation now calls into question the role that politically funded research had in investigating Manafort for things that were totally unrelated to his work on the Trump campaign.

In congressional testimony in October 2018, Nellie Ohr admitted under oath that she conducted research on Carter Page, Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, Trump's family and even Trump's children.

Another paid DNC researcher, Alexandra Chalupa, worked with Ukraine officials to find dirt on Manafort.

NOTE: Never forget that Nellie Ohr worked for the CIA for at least two years starting in 2008.

This is only the beginning of the release of previously classified documents that will be made available to the public.

Outstanding post, LYM!

Couple of things I took away from Black's spot-on piece.
There has never been the slightest credible suggestion of any connection between Trump and organized crime, and the Internal Revenue Service has audited him constantly for decades and has never gone beyond contested reassessments.
It wasn't until Trump decided to run for POTUS as a Republican against Empress Hillary that the establishment and dishonest media decided that Trump was corrupt, racist and a mobster. I've also repeated this same common sense view regarding the IRS. With all the audits that Trump is subjected to by the IRS every year, they would've nailed him on something long ago.

Dems, LIBs and the eneMedia-fueled lies and propaganda are the only things they have left to GET TRUMP.
For 50 years Democrats have wanted the Latin vote and Republican employers have wanted their cheap labour. It is a cynical bipartisan outrage as these poor people have flooded in, overloading the social services and schools and police and keeping working-class incomes down. Trump will continue to admit a million immigrants legally, but will stop this invasion of undocumented people who cannot be easily absorbed. All he seeks is to emulate the Canadian system of merit-based immigration.
Another truth. Trump repeats it over and over again, but it doesn't matter. Trump wants a merit-based system of immigration. Even a tiny country like Thailand has requirements that must be met or violators and visitors are jettisoned.

It's about the law and enforcing it. Even Dems wanted the borders secured and immigration law enforced BEFORE TRUMP. Larry Elder documents it well in the video I provided above in this thread.

Conrad Black nails it again.

"It wasn't until Trump decided to run for POTUS as a Republican against Empress Hillary that the establishment and dishonest media decided that Trump was corrupt, racist and a mobster."

Once again OH, I have run out of Steam, Trump was and has been involved with the said Mob
http://www.fivefamiliesnyc.com/2011/04/ ... -ties.html

"Trump teamed up with the duo in 1980 soon after arriving in Atlantic City, according to numerous news reports and his real estate broker on the deal, Paul Longo. The developer seized on a prime piece of property and partnered with Shapiro and Sullivan, but the state’s gambling regulators were concerned enough about Shapiro and Sullivan’s mob links that they required Trump to end the partnership and buy out their shares, according to several Trump biographies."
Racism

1) "Khizr Khan"
2) The lawsuit charged that the company quoted different rental terms and conditions to black rental candidates than it did with white candidates, and that the company lied to black applicants about apartments not being available. Trump called those accusations “absolutely ridiculous” and sued the Justice Department for $100 million in damages for defamation.

Without admitting wrongdoing, the Trump Management Corporation settled the original lawsuit two years later and promised not to discriminate against black people, Puerto Ricans or other minorities. Trump also agreed to send weekly vacancy lists for his 15,000 apartments to the New York Urban League, a civil rights group, and to allow the NYUL to present qualified applicants for vacancies in certain Trump properties.
3) Workers at Trump’s casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey, have accused him of racism over the years. The New Jersey Casino Control Commission fined the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino $200,000 in 1992 because managers would remove African-American card dealers at the request of a certain big-spending gambler. A state appeals court upheld the fine.

The U.S. isn't Thailand. Part of our heritage is serving as a refuge. A merit ONLY based immigration system will betray that historic role we have played. We have immigration laws, and they should be enforced. If Congress wants to change them, it will.

Perhaps some type of merit-based exception or add-on to the immigration quotas and procedures already established by law might be appropriate. Let's kick that one over to Congress and see what they think.

Exactly correct. Obama famously said when he was a Senator, "We are a nation of immigrants; but we are also a nation of laws." There's video on YouTube of Schumer saying essentially the same thing. As I've said before, Both parties have, in the relatively recent past, been in control of both houses of Congress and the White House simultaneously; yet neither party has changed the immigration laws. IMO it's not appropriate for ANY President to try to circumvent the law by Executive Order; yet all Presidents have done just that. The law is what it is. Congress, and ONLY Congress, has the power and authority to change it.

Merit-based is not a reference to asylum or refugee status. It is only applicable to immigration. Trump has only required that refugees be vetted properly and asylum-seekers be legitimate, as do I.

Congress refuses to fix it BECAUSE TRUMP, and Trump has made generous compromise offers. Can't give Trump anything that looks like a win.

Trump dropping another hammer on the taxpayer burden of immigrants. Excellent! Finally!

BILLIONS of dollars will be saved annually through use of the "Public Charge" rule. Trump didn't make it up. Bill Clinton and Congress passed it in 1996.

The details are available everywhere online for anyone who wants to read up.

Basically, any immigrant (to include LEGAL immigrants) will be less likely to secure permanent residency status (green card and/or path to citizenship) if they have used any form of government welfare, health care, food stamps or public housing.

The burden just on the federal level has been over $55 BILLION PER YEAR.

A report issued by the National Academies of Science has noted that each American taxpayer is responsible for about $1,600 per year PER IMMIGRANT to pay their way. Immigrant households consumer 33% more cash welfare than American citizen households.

The Center for Immigration Studies calculates that about 63 percent of noncitizen households in the U.S. use at least one form of taxpayer-funded welfare, while only about 35 percent of native-born American households are on welfare. NONCITIZEN households use TWICE the welfare as US Citizen households. California is the worst individual offender by state.

Check out Rasmussen for their poll on this. This is HUGELY popular among US voters -- across all demographics.

Immigration is great. Don't be a burden on the rest of us.

Entitlements for Immigrants.png

Non-citizens use more welfare in every category except for housing.

The Castro brothers are catching more heat -- intensified -- over their release of names and businesses of Trump donors in the San Antonio, TX area.

Individuals on both sides of the aisle have now come out against Castro's move, which is now being characterized as "a call for targeted harassment."

Justin Herricks, owner of Precision Pipe Rentals, is worried for the safety of his employees since receiving a flood of messages and phone calls calling him a "racist piece of sh*t" simply by financially supporting a candidate of his choice.

Justin Herricks:
“In this country, you have the freedom of speech and the choice of who you are going to support and give money to. For me, supporting the Republican Party, I look at the things Trump has done for the economy. I’ll continue to support him and what he’s doing. It looks like Democrats are getting desperate in resorting to these tactics."
Despite the harassment from the doxxing of Trump donors, it has had a galvanizing effect for Trump support in San Antonio. Fund-raising has increased over Castro's stunt.

This is exactly why the US and other countries have a secret ballot.

TIME TO PREPARE???
Dealers under pressure to sell this year’s models.
At this time of year, dealers are supposed to be transitioning to next year’s models. But this year, they’re behind.
That means they’ll get increasingly desperate to offload last year’s vehicles.
In July, 90% of vehicles on dealer lots were from the 2019 model year, the highest percentage in at least 10 years, according to Edmunds.
Meanwhile, only 7% of vehicles for sale in July were next year’s models, the lowest level in at least 10 years, according to Edmunds.

Sales are falling.
Rosner projected Thursday that U.S. new-vehicle sales will total 16.7 million for 2019. While still relatively healthy, that would be down about 500,000 from 2018.
And automakers are increasingly focusing on less-profitable sales to so-called fleet customers, like rental-car companies.
“We worry the industry’s growing dependence on fleet sales” could weigh on the industry “after daily rental fleets are refreshed or if business confidence starts to deteriorate,”

Well, now we know why Nancy and the four "Harpies of Hate" were in Guatemala. They were there to undermine Trump's efforts to work with Guatemala in stemming the tide of migrants. I'm not surprised.

But there is a Trump Victory Again anyway.

There was an election on August 11 in Guatemala. Leftists from the US and Guatemala were supporting fellow-Leftist Sandra Torres, who promised to reject any deal with Trump on migration/immigration. Guatemala is key geographically, since it is the bridge between Mexico and Central/South America. Pelosi and her band of anti-American allies met with many of the pro-migration allies. And yes, Soros is involved in direct and indirect funding of these groups.

Well, Nancy's candidate lost. Trump's candidate WON. It wasn't a very close election. Trump's guy -- Alejandro Giammattei won with 58% of the vote.

Trump worked out a deal with Guatemala in July that allows US border agents to reject asylum claims from migrants who first cross through Guatemala. This would include migrants from Africa, Asia, El Salvador, India and Honduras. This agreement creates a LEGAL WALL that will be difficult to tear down by activist judges in the US who have assisted the Left in slowing and stopping Trump with court orders.

Those migrants who are caught will be flown back from the border.

The cost of assisting Guatemala with financial resources, trade considerations and migrant permits will be far less expensive than the cost of ILLEGAL ALIENS in the US and on the border.

The most important thing I take away from this is that Pelosi is not just resisting Trump (Legislative Branch vs Executive Branch) based on political differences. Pelosi is actively seeking to undermine Trump and his efforts to defend the US border by involving herself in politics in foreign countries. That effort is specifically to undermine lawful arrangements between the Executive Branch with other countries. As a side note, there is more and more evidence that she has done this with Trudeau and Canada and the USMCA deal. More on that later.
