The problem as i see it , is a problem associated with all expat communities .
We all come from different countries , we all have different values , we are varying ages , we all come from different social backgrounds , we all have differing political and religious views , we all have differing levels of education and life experiences , many of us who live here permanently , came for various reasons .
What we all do have in common is we use this forum , and the other one on a frequent basis .
So would it really hurt anyone to think before they post , to ignore the trolls , and to make the forums a place to air our views and share information ,in a more civil manner ?
I would hate to think this forum ends up like the kiddies forum , where it seems O K for members to tell anyone they do not agree with to foxtrot oscar .
Yes agree .
My suggestion of streamlining the home current posts psge was with regard to the IMO over dominating number of politcal.threads and the off putting first impresdions this can give to a possible new member joining and or exsisting members staying longer and contributing .
Manners cost nowt as my old gran used to say (she said alot) and being civil should be foremost ..alas most threads seem.to turn into **** fight at the drop.of a hat niwadays all due to differing opinions n ckashes of personalities n views .
If really shouldnt be that difgicult to sort out as its just a hand full.of members whonon occasions like to stir the pot .

Dm
Sorry about the numerous typos im.posting via my phone n i have fat fingers

It is a difficult task to achieve, but I agree, it is the way to go.

I had a lot of time for Bob Helm. I thought he did really well.

you're joking right? its actually worse over here, not to mention, the other forum is 95% brits ?are you
saying brits are the underlying cause? hhmmnn

you've got 20 odd people who want to sling mud
all day, and if anyone refutes their assertions, they
go bawling to the mods for post deletions ?

a few troublemakers? I've been in prison yards and felt more at ease?( figuratively typing) people
making threats others libelous statements etc

You're like a truculent 4 year old, Cali, going backwards and forwards between mummy and daddy.

Daddy, mummy said this.....

Mummy, daddy said that.....

look mate , i know its unsettling . there's a paradigm shift going on , your safe , little world
hiding behind sandbags sniping at others is crumbling around you. change can be painful
I'll try and be gentle, go slow so you adjust :-s

What's the paradigm shift you're mentioning? Fewer boisterous threads?

OK, this is turning into another sniping-at-each-other thread, which we're going to make a renewed effort to avoid.

So, this thread has served its purpose and I'll close it now. If anyone has suggestions, either with regard to consolidating Brexit threads, or generally, please feel free to send them to me by PM or by email at Paul@UdonMap.com.

Thanks for all of your opinions and thoughts!
