Thank you to the Bulldogs. The Blues seem to be a better team than just a few weeks ago.

Despite being a Carlton basher (under-statement), I never had anything against Bolton.

A good win for Essendon. They're nearly as unpredictable as Trump.

It seems Mark Thompson has been dabbling or even dealing a bit in illicit drugs.

Thanks Mark, you boofhead, for further tarring Essendon with the illicit drugs brush.

Bombers kick two goals in the last three minutes to steal one off the Giants. Doin it for Bomber no doubt.

It's great that they got a win over a decent team. That was overdue.

Thompson might be watching the grand final with George Pell this year.

The Suns have a difficult list of opponents through to the end of the season. :( Carlton might escape the dreaded wooden spoon. :( :(

On 20 July the Suns are up against against Carlton. Even if they win that one, their crappy percentage means they aren't likely to overtake Carlton on the ladder. :( :( :(

But if the Suns beat Carlton and Essendon throw, I mean lose, their match against the Suns on 28 July ... \:D/

Brisbane is still in the eight but they look to have plenty of difficult to win games left.

Suns will be cellar dwellers for a long time.Carlton should avoid the spoon. The Lions will need to be at their very best tomorrow. The result will give a clearer indication if they are finals contenders or just making up the numbers.
The final home and away game of the year against Richmond (at a yet to be determined venue) will be vital.
Coach Fagen has done a terrific job but the real test comes in the next five weeks.
Hopefully we can break the 10 year hiatus and play some footy in September.

I had $10 on the bloody Cats. The Bulldogs have been unpredictable this year.

Brisbane supporters can stand easy. I don't have any money on their game. I hope Brisbane win. Well done to the Demons.

Been a good weekend for our teams. Nice to still have a bit of interest left in the season as we move into the last third. Lions very impressive today and the dogs really should have won by a lot more yesterday evening. Reigning premiers looking mighty scary and the Tiges look set to play a part also. Even season in a mostly even comp.

Hell Yes!
A terrific win by Brisbane.
We look like the real deal on the back of that victory.
It's going to be nice playing footy in September.
Doggies still have a sniff. They are not a bad side and could roll all comers in the next few rounds.
The road to the finals will deliver some great footy.Hang on.

The Eagles - Pies game tonight should be an interesting game. The Pies have been losing a lot recently.

Lucky me. I was going to put $10 on the Eagles but I forgot. Essendon - Norths and the Swans - Carlton are the more interesting games for me today.

Next year I might call the thread GT's 2020 AFL season.

Huge win for the dons too in the grand scheme of things. Massive test for the dogs tomorrow as we have really struggled when favourites this year. With our percentage can't afford to drop any 50 - 50 games.
Lions V Port another massive game tomorrow. Lions can go to 3rd on the ladder with a decent win. Best of luck RD.

Harris Andrews V Charlie Dixon will be a beauty.
Port really are up and about after flooging Adelaide and Vossy will relish this one.
This will be tougher than last weeks game for Brisbane.
Should only be a kick in it.
GO LIONS!

I think Mark Thompson has had the best result so far this week. A 12 month community corrections order and $3500 fine seem quite light to me. I suspect he was a low level dealer although he wasn't convicted of dealing. Hopefully he can now get his act together and rehabilitate himself as Wayne Carey has done.

I think I've just about finished my fun with Carlton for this season. It's time to look at the mid-table jockeying. It's still very crowded in there. Plenty of teams still in with a chance. Including Essendon. \:D/

I purchased some Essendon gear online this week; it should arrive next week. Soon I'll be attired like a Victorian tragic.

Essendon gear GT  syringes, ice pipe, bong, peptides, growth hormones or just good old fashioned roids? All sounds a bit dodgy given the recent record of the bombers :D All jokes aside good to see the new generation of Dons have turned the club around and are a chance to see some September action for the first time since 2003 - 2004 or there abouts.
I think the magistrate got it right with Bomber Thompson. He fell in with some bad people and they used him to store their drugs. Bomber was apparently smoking ice and trading crypto currencies for days on end when he was raided. Had millions of dollars in bitcoin in one account so he may well have been onto something at the same time as being on something. Strange case.

Just clothing and a mug. Nothing dodgy.

It was a good win for the Bulldogs today and the Lions are about to have another big win. Essendon has a difficult list of opponents through to the end of the season. The match against the Bulldogs may be critical for each side.

I think Bomber Thompson should have a coffee with Wayne Carey. Carey might be able to give him a few pointers.

Great wins for both the scray and the royboys today. Brisbane a genuine chance to go deep into September and the dogs with a percentage under 100 just have to keep winning. Tiges also had a significant win today and are very much putting their hands up also. Great season so far.

I just listened to Caro being interviewed for around 45 minutes:

"In the Game with Damian Barrett - an AFL podcast
Caroline Wilson: 'I don't know why footy clubs lie' "

https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-07-18/ ... son-speaks

It covers a lot of ground.
