Water misting system

Post by Barney » April 18, 2019, 11:31 am

I am looking for a place that sells water misting systems or the fittings that go into making one.
Any ideas.

My wife has one of those little benzine powered sprayers. She has a variety of nozzles that atomize the spray in different patterns. Most farm supply stores sell those little brass nozzles.

Global house used to have all the pipe & fittings.
Papafarang built a system when he was in his old place.

cheap as chips in global house, cost about 2000b but I had way too much and could have gone 3 times around . look out as they have spray, misters and foggers, foggers are best as uses minimal water but you will need filter as they block up ,misters just as good but again need to take clean water but much less chance of blocking up. if you look at the packs they have ratings for how much water per hour .I used misters that used 7lt per hour and was running about 10 misters so 70lt per hour ran from a spur off the house water pump. they do work well with fans around.

Thanks papa and to others.
Did you use the system for cooling or plant watering?
I want to use it combined for slowly misting hanging plants and also for cooling comfort.
Did the provide the pipe couplings to screw the nozzles into?

I’ll head to dohome and global soon and see what they have.
Thanks

Doodoo thanks for the Lazada tip but I like to get out and about and look around for things. Usually change my simple mind and come up with new ideas as I shop.
Missus has used Lazada and will check what they have for comparison.

Afraid not , but I still have components for all of it so I will pull bits out and see if I can assemble a simple set up and post some pictures of the parts. it's very simple

well been busy but as my day off I started to look around to see what I had left about. found enough to make a small set.

first here's a couple of foggers and misters ,the black and orange clogged up too much and were erratic , the grey ones much better. Easy to clean and better mist, then you need the hose , unfortunately it comes in huge coils ,possibly 100m. then bunches of elbows and t- pieces.the pipe can be pierced and the misters push strait in , but I found they leaked at the joints so they dripped everywhere , so I used 1/2 inch T- piece and adapted it as I don't want to waste water. global or do home have everything you need. mind boggling amount and cheap. I just made a 4 spray temp setup running just from the tap ,but I have good water pressure without a pump with about 100b worth of bits laying around and it's not going to feel like 40c to me this afternoon 8)
