Personally, very proud to be Leeds today. Pontus going up for a corner in a goalies jersey at the end is an enduring image and what we are all about.

Scunthorpe sack Stuart McCall.....
Yeovil sack Darren Way.....
Both teams in danger of the dreaded drop with just a few games to go.

Indeed the ginger one has departed ... n not before time .. footys a fickle game nowadays he was manager of the month for December or January i forget n then it all went tits up leading to todays decision by chairman Mr Swann..

IMO he wasnt the right choice when appointed .. but now who will replace him with only 7 games to go ..the Iron could be heading for L2 next season .

DM
Claret n Blue all way thru .. Up the Iron

The rollercoaster that is Leeds United carries on.
Games like yesterday's twice come from behind win over Millwall, not good for the fans' blood pressure, but it's why we love it. The mighty whites never do things the easy way.
Back into 2nd, 7 games to go.

Re the other guy on about "proper clubs and proper fans", Norwich have sold out and asked for the same again, and sold that allocation out for their next away game just up the road at, er, Wigan.
5000 fans.
Because of the similar shirt colour and the coach connection, Dortmund (known just a bit for their fans and regular 81,000 sold out home gates), have got in with Norwich for a suggested Yellow Wall at this Wigan game. Should be impressive to watch, and hear.
OTBC, 5 points clear, 7 games to go.

Erm, you're top of the league. Come back and brag about your sell outs when you're mid table League 1. We sell out every away game every season. LUFC, a proper club.

Lots of love from "the other guy"

Peterhead had a goalless draw with title challengers Edinburgh before the international break and then went on to beat Cowdenbeath yesterday. So now 5 points clear with 5 games remaining. They're away to 3rd placed Clyde this coming weekend which will be their biggest challenge afore the end of the season.

Haud gauin!

I forgot to add; congratulations to Huddersfield Town on their relegation from the premier league.

Hopefully we won't play them next season either.

Plucky Fort William have managed to keep their goals against down to single digits the past two outings. With 4 games left or regular season (no idea is anyone bothers with the 3 or 4 cancelled games up there) so all in all, a marginally better finish than a start. Maybe they'll hire a proper manager like DM's favrite red-headed eedjit.

After 30 matches Fort Williams goal difference stands at -204.
That,to me,suggests a bit of a shaky defence. :-k
Now Baines and Jagielka from Everton are likely to become available at the end of the season.
They are about Highland League standard now so that should help.
McCall as manager,though....is that really an improvement ? :badteeth:

Interesting times in the Championship, and a vital 3 game week. Today sees Leeds United away at Birmingham, and Sheffield United away at Preston. Then during the week, Leeds at Preston and Sheffield at Birmingham. 😯
Next weekend, Leeds at home to Sheffield Wednesday. 9 points would be nice. [-o<

Midweek Preston v Leeds should be quite a game.
Preston need to win or their play off hopes are gone.
Leeds need to win to keep the automatic promotion dream alive.
A draw not really much use to either side and Leeds would then be relying on Birmingham to beat Sheffield United.

Always been able to rely on Leeds for a bottle job, especially if you were an opposing fan in the 70's :-&

I hope we win tonight but, if not, worse case scenario, we would be 4 points behind with 5 to play so, all still to play for.

Personally, I think we will miss out on automatic as Norwich are too far ahead and Sheff are solid and wont drop enough points. We are, however, the best of the rest so should get through the play offs. Good news for me as, for the past 5 years I have, rather optimistically, booked flights back to the UK to coincide with the play off final....same again this year.

A good 3 points for the mighty whites last night. Not the best of performances, but a win is a win.
And all in front of over 5,500 travelling Leeds fans.
Sheffield, over to you!
