At last! She's stepping down but rather bizarrely wants to remain chancellor, it's unlikely but could happen, another nail in the EU coffin?

BBC News - Angela Merkel 'to abandon key CDU party role'

This is just another reason why the UK will be much better off out of the EU and why the EU will ultimately fail.

With the likes of Marcel de Graaff making or proposing policy which the EU would presumably try to enforce on International Media and or the EU people themselves, the is no hope, if they succeed. [-X

Extract: The United Nations Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration seeks to make immigration a universal human right. MEP Marcel de Graaff said: “I would like to say some words on the global compact on migration. On the 10th and 11th of December there will be an international congress in Marrakesh Morocco. The participating countries are set to sign this agreement and although this joint agreement is not binding it is still meant to be the legal framework on which the participating countries commit themselves to build new legislation =;

The UK needs to hurry up and part company with this (EU) organization

I see the French (those in the Yellow vests) are none to happy with Macron and his government. Its been 230 years since the last French Revolution, so must be time for another one. \:D/

Serves him right for trying to put a Fuel Tax on the middle class working people, to pay for the BS Climate Change agenda. It's not as though the more highly paid City dewllers would have to cough up much, as they have a nice public transport system to hop on, but those poorer middle class Frenchie's from the country areas would cop the brunt of it.

Good on them (The poorer middle class Frenchie's from the country areas) for marching to the city, and showing their displeasure. For too long those in the City have raped and pillaged those in the Country areas, with their government policies. [-X

Yep, France is unraveling quickly. This is where stupid socialist policies always end up.

The EU is a busted flush
Only matter of time until the other 26 members wake up, smell the coffee and realize what’s happening to their country and where their money is going and who are really benefiting 😳😳🧐🧐🧐🤓🤓🤓🤓

If he had bothered to take his head out of Merkels arse for a few seconds , he should of seen this coming . It usually amazes me how far detached politicians views are from their electorate , but in Macrons case ,no.
Ever since he took office hes been more interested in the E U than his own people , and im pretty sure that when Merkel does go , hes eyeing up her position in said defunct institution .
Maybe he sees himself as Europes great saviour , but honestly i think he would just love the power .

Macron is France’s Obama.
You will never find a LIB willing to consistently Defend the Constitution, Promote Free Enterprise or Nurture Individual Liberty. LIBs work against all three.

. . .
Read somewhere yesterday that it's spreading into Belgium and the Netherlands. There is enough going wrong for citizens in every country that it's probably more than carbon taxes fueling the upheaval.

Oh , its a lot more than carbon taxes , especially in Macrons case . There are many social problems in not only France but the whole E U . They choose to ignore it in their endeavor to create a utopian federal state .
People have had enough of immigration , unemployment , high taxes , social cuts , crumbling inferstructure , and cheap labour coming from the east .
Make no mistake the E U is not there for the people , but for their own pockets and total control .
Mays brexit deal will basically enslave the British forever to their power .Lets face it if we do her deal were damned , if we stay in were damned , it will just take longer and cost more . The only answer to avoid the madness is a no deal exit , which in itself creates another madness , but we ultimately will as a nation have some control over our destiny and laws .
A no deal is not going to be easy , and there will be pain , but it will be quick and it will be clean , and i believe it will in time bring the whole Euro experiment down like a house of cards .

Your wrong, have a very close look at the TV next time. This isn't about race or color, this is about a Government who is out of touch with the people who pay the majority of the Taxes. Governments who willingly accept the Tax from that Majority and then misuse or miss pend that revenue, which is not just common to France.

Once upon a time, the Middle Class who were paying the majority Taxes was very broad (lots of them), but this has narrowed (reduced) over the years with the fringes of that Middle Class moving to either the wealthier or the poorer class of people. A reducing middle class in the West and Europe is bad news in the long term, as it not only effects amount of tax revenue, but will most likely also affect the make up or mix, of the Political scene. :-k

This is what you are seeing in France, and will eventually see in other European countries and the West. :-k

How do you think a Middle Class Working Person,(who has paid his tax for most of his working life), feels, when he gets to 60-65 years old and the Government of the day tells him they have spent most of that money, and he now has to work an extra 3 years or more (knowing that he can't find a job) and that after, his Pension Amount (if any) will be reduced from what was previously forecast or expected, whilst the cost of living rises? [-X Also this Middle Class Working Person, knows that this doesn't impact on the Politician's and in most cases the Public Servant individuals, because guess what, they have a different funded Government Pension Scheme for themselves, which in most cases has been entirely funded by the Government (from that Middle Class Working Persons Taxes), with no actual contribution from the individual Politician or Public Servant and can be accessed as a Lump sum (in some Countries), before that person reaches 60 years old? What a F..kn great scheme, for them =D>

This must make that Middle Class Working Person feel great. [-X - This is in part, what will overthrow Governments or at the very least bring people out onto the streets, if not now, then certainly in the future, or even worst - it will ensure those Politicians who created the mess live behind big high walls for the rest of their lives (also paid for by the Middle Class Working Person).

Enough said, probably would have been better posting this last part elsewhere. :-k
