Possibly. It's very early days but after being cynically injured by Ramos in the CL final before a lackluster national performance in Russia and ongoing legal issues with the Egyptian FA, it seems he's still making news but for the wrong reasons.747man wrote: ↑August 29, 2018, 12:42 pmA 1 Season Wonder then Tam ????tamada wrote: ↑August 29, 2018, 12:14 pmI have the feeling that Salah is already going off the boil.stattointhailand wrote: ↑August 29, 2018, 11:11 amSmokescreen to cover the 230mil offer for Salah Its somene who SCORES that Madrid want NOT someone who misses ......... they have Bale to do that
Vardy was the EPL wunderkid three seasons earlier with much less impactful subsequent seasons. Maybe continuity under Klopp and having a pretty impressive player roster will make the difference and Salah will be the same delight to watch as he was last year.

He looked very stale against Brighton as did a few others, but a wins a win i suppose, the way liverpool play under klopp any player could score in that team, ive got a feeling mane might get a good few this year, and with the new signings this season if they don,t perform theres someone to replace them who can,bit of healthy pressuretamada wrote: ↑August 29, 2018, 12:14 pmI have the feeling that Salah is already going off the boil.stattointhailand wrote: ↑August 29, 2018, 11:11 amSmokescreen to cover the 230mil offer for Salah Its somene who SCORES that Madrid want NOT someone who misses ......... they have Bale to do that
Re: English Premier League 2018/19
With Fuchs only getting one start so far against Fleetwood (but he did score), down to Maguire?
Vardy's out so that's one thorn in 'pool's side removed before the get-go. How's Mahrez so far this season?
Just noted that both Fuchs AND Maguire have found the net so far this season. Maybe the threat won't be from the front?

And with Klopp's need to trim the pool, we may see some exceptional 'step up to the plate' performances as well as some flat-liners... hopefully more of the former which will make Klopp really have to do his sums and earn his money.TAXIfor7/11 wrote: ↑August 30, 2018, 11:09 amHe looked very stale against Brighton as did a few others, but a wins a win i suppose, the way liverpool play under klopp any player could score in that team, ive got a feeling mane might get a good few this year, and with the new signings this season if they don,t perform theres someone to replace them who can,bit of healthy pressuretamada wrote: ↑August 29, 2018, 12:14 pmI have the feeling that Salah is already going off the boil.stattointhailand wrote: ↑August 29, 2018, 11:11 amSmokescreen to cover the 230mil offer for Salah Its somene who SCORES that Madrid want NOT someone who misses ......... they have Bale to do that

I remember Mahrez getting all petulant and 'I'm better than this' so will he get much air time at Citeh? Described as "... a god at Leicester. Now he’s just another talented schmuck warming the padded car seats of the superclub subs bench, hoping people notice him."

Apparently he impressed in the pre-season tour but with De Bruyne now sitting it out for a few months and/or Sterling's only consistency is being inconsistent, maybe he'll get his 20 minutes?

I'd like Newcastle to win that one Alan but I don't think I'll put a fiver on it.
I don't know much compared you guys about English football. But so what? That's not a vice. Poor manners is.
The English Premier League juggernaut is very keen on foreign interest in its product. One reason I chose to support Everton some years ago was the enthusiasm for focusing on Everton in this thread. So I've hung my hat with Everton and I'm very happy with that.

Re: English Premier League 2018/19
My American mucker, totally bereft of the idiosyncrasies and finer points of the game decided to hang his hat with Chelsea solely based on their exceptionally good performance under 'Mourinho 1'. This was at the time when it was cool in US social and drinking circles (and the Sports bar) to support an EPL team. I did try and get him to choose something with a bit more gravitas, history and altogether good standing but despite my best efforts, he reckoned Spurs wasn't it.GT93 wrote: ↑August 31, 2018, 3:17 pmI'd like Newcastle to win that one Alan but I don't think I'll put a fiver on it.

Re: English Premier League 2018/19
I wouldn't worry too much about Alisson. It will take him time to settle in.I remember de Gea was a bit shaky when he first came to United.
Liverpool and Chelsea still 100% records at the top.....West Ham still pointless....Huddersfield move out of the bottom 3 at the expense of Newcastle.
