Facebook win Premiership TV rights.
Facebook bid 200m to win the TV rights in Asia for the English Premiership from the 2019-20 season.
Re: Facebook win Premiership TV rights.
I couldn't see anywhere in the announcement if/how much viewers would have to pay though.
Sadly I guess after all these years of ignoring Facebook, I will have to now join it...

Strange to only have a bidding process for 1 year.

The Premier League has agreed its first broadcast deal with Facebook, which has won exclusive rights to show live matches in parts of Asia from next year.
The social media giant is understood to have beaten the television networks BeIn Sports and Fox Sports Asia in the auction to gain live broadcast rights in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos from next year until 2022, in a deal worth about £200 million.
Facebook’s successful bid in Asia follows Amazon’s breakthrough deal in Britain last month in which the online retailer gained the rights to broadcast 20 live matches a season from next year and is the latest indication of the Premier League’s determination to appeal to streaming services as well as traditional broadcasters.
The Premier League…

Does this mean 747 will have to buy a "Smart" TV with facebook/youtube options?
Might be a life changer for him to watch Everton play in something other than Gray and white
